His interview shocked me the other day when he said the midfield did have three but it was left to an other to fill in leaving his original position vacant. It is unfair to ask players to do that in my view as suddenly they get the blame for being a poor defender!! We need a much more coherent plan than that. If one of GA weakness is his lack of tactical awareness then we get someone in to assist.

Parky gave me some of the best times in my life, defeating Arsenal, Villa, Chelsea and not forgetting Leeds were the pinnacle of supporting Bradford City, even surpassing Jewell's, lets face it, singular achievement.
If it were not for those moments then yes, his football could be considered boring but for me he is legend status.
GA has worked a minor miracle in the short time he's been manager here but his approach of late is frustrating. But given time maybe the best is yet to come, maybe not this season but next.
If we don't appear in the playoffs at the end of the season there will be a lot of condemnation but we must be patient and see how we attack next season before casting him off.
We have had some interesting managers over the years, each giving us the highs and the lows.
McFarland, Cherry, Kammy, Jewell, Parky all have a place in my affection. Will GA be remembered in the same vein?.. dunno. Time will tell.

I don’t think even Graham himself understood what he was waffling on about to Raynor there with that ‘we have a third man in midfield’ talk. The fans don’t see us having a third man in midfield and if the players understand what he means by it, they aren’t effectively implementing the instruction in game.

against the good teams we’re getting smoked.

The fleetwood game was brilliant because of the ending and i could name a fair few games before that where good games off the top of my head
    Walsall H
    Colchester H
    Port V H
    Chesterfield H
Did you not enjoy them ???

Still its City land when a manager who gets you up gets you looking like a solid league 1 side is deemed not good enough :(

Bang on bud i bet the majority of managers so fondly remembered had a lot of games in there that where piss poor :( if GA left today 2 years down the line the same folk would be pulling the next messiah to bit and fondly remembering how great he was :)

Fook me the man has got us from playing teams at home who bring a handfull of folk to big away followings and decent attmosphere ,rather than the chore it had become.

Btw remember the last time we was at this level and how fooking bad that was ?????? You wanna think about that before pulling GA to bits .............he frustrates me yes his tactics sometimes are mind boggling but we could end up with a lot worse

Under current circumstance , never mind historical, they aren’t a big club, other than they have a decent quality ground , otherwise another basket case on the horizon ? Wigan , another living on “ history” .

I can barely remember anything of those games apart from Cooks goal against Vale and Pattisons against Walsall, so I'll say no i probably didnt enjoy those ones.

Might be wrong and not read the full thread, but I haven't seen many/any say GA isn't good enough? Plenty saying he's stubborn and tactically can be a pain, but cant remember seeing anyone say he isn't good enough to do his job.

I suggest you look the Colchester game up on Youtube and i would suggest around that time of that decent run that nobody was pulling GA to bits at all ............funny how folk have selective memory loss when it suits there argument :)

I suppose seeing the fastest goal in the history of VP has suddenly been forgotten about ????,
I suppose beating Cheltenham at home 3-0 and setting a new record at VP of winning 10 games on the trot has gone missing :)

Btw its league 2 bud not the PL there are hardly gonna be any real stand our performances are there ???
Lets me guess the other 3 teams that joined us in promotion had a full season of amazing games where they passed teams off the park and thrashed every team they played :)

Btw go back over the last few pages of this thread and see the folk pulling him to bits .................my god for the majority of my time seeing City ( 1987) we have mainly been in the bottom 2 leagues yet somehow folk on here think we have some devine right to be in the Championship .............

Let me put out there simply
GAs football is not the best
GAs tactics are sometimes mind boggling

    But
GA has got us out of the khazi league
GA has got in the play off spots in league above
GA is delivering on a bog standard budget compared to other teams that we are out performing

And the last thing GA and his team gave us one of the best memories i have seen in the 38 years at VP or can someone name me one better ????,

Theyre still a bigger club than us Kev. Have spent years in the PL and even a stint in the Champions League.

If Blackburn’s interest was genuine, few could begrudge him if he wanted to go…..but don’t think there is much in the link anyway.

I think GA suits City and we suit him, well suits based on how we have always been successful in the past.

He isn't for me and never will be no matter what he achieves at City, but even I'm not daft enough to think he needs moving on when he's been as successful as anyone we've had in donkeys years.

Fair enough but who would be for you ????

I honestly dont get what more can he do ???
Get it if the budget was huge and he was heavily back in the transfer market but he hasnt has he ????

But i respect your views but all i see is a flawed manager who got us promoted got us in a strong chance of prmotion and united a club when this club had become a very toxic place to be around...............least Saturdays on the whole are enjoyable now on the whole rather than the chore it had become

Things have gone a little awry recently and some of his decisions on tactics and playing performance haven't matched the successes in the first part of the season. Some fans are no doubt disappointed given recent results and look to GA to vent their frustrations. Money talks in football and I believe he's done a good job overall with the money he has. If anything, GA has overachieved even if it doesn't feel like that currently after such a good start to the season.

Whether Blackburn is a 'bigger' club is, in a sense, neither here nor there. The more important aspect is that they are a wealthier club than us; not because the club generates more revenues than us but because of their owners.willingness to underwrite playing budgets etc which have given rise to their losses. Many clubs and many potential managers must look enviously at their financial backing and GA might be doing the same. But, and it's a huge but, it doesn't appear that Blackburn has approached Sparks for permission to speak to GA about their vacancy. Without that permission, it would be regarded as an unauthorised approach which would have severe consequences for the club. I doubt very much that Blackburn would risk that.

There a lot bigger than us won more in Living memory than the so called massive club in Beeston ..........if he went i wouldnt blame him if it means securing his future ................it could easily go wrong for him here and then what ??????? Hoping for another job when the chance to secure his long term future is here right now.

He continues to do a decent job here on limited sources then hes bound to attract attention

Even with owners that fans want out they have made decent stabs at a play off push 3 times in the last 5/6 years. They absolutely blew one when looking certain.

He's done a great job at City and hopefully he will for years to come as he's seemingly got the fan base as back on side as they have been in at least 10 years. He's 100% the best man to be Bradford City manager in Feb of 2026. I'm just saying i don't like Alexander, doesn't mean that i want him out and someone else in.

I just hope that should we drop off that we fans turn against him and it becomes toxic :(
Start of this season the majority would have ripped your hand off for a midtable finish and has it stands he gonna at the very least deliver that if not more :)

Gonna be exciting end to the season whatever happens starting with two tough home games in front of decent crowds which is what we sll wanted didnt we ???,

Just sit back enjoy the ride and you never know where it will end ............. Monday being optimistic is a great start to the week

I am just a bit puzzled Jordan as to the actual reason you dont like GA.

You openly acknowledge what a great job he has done here and that he 100% is the right man for us at the moment.

He comes across as a very likeable sound bloke who has bonded with the fans, so whats not to like?

Some of the stuff on social media beggars belief. GA has done a tremendous job here. Of course nobody is above criticism on things like line ups and tactics but to be suggesting we should get rid as quite a few are is total madness
