Wigan away

Ticket bought. SectionNS5 which appears to be very recently opened. Hope it stays as a 3:00pm kick off though.

 

I think it should be safe. Looking at the other games I'd say there are 4 that I would be confident that will be on ahead of ours - Lincoln v Stockport and Wycombe vs Luton from the promotion/play off matches then you've got Doncaster vs Blackpool and Northampton vs Burton in the relegation fight matches.

With Stevenage losing again today I think we might get away without a Sky game in March unless we are playing any teams who are needing games to get to the minimum selections. April is where I think some of our games will be picked up, unless we have a terrible February I'm certain the last home game against Bolton will be picked up and wouldn't be surprised if it was a Thursday game.

 

Fortunately it’s only the Wigan to Burton stretch that I’ll be over for.

Bolton - last home game of the season - i don’t see it being a Thursday game with the memorial association; I also hope it stays at 3pm and there’s some ‘soft influence’ applied from the club, ‘ à la Royal Family style’ to ensure this game isn’t moved.

Bit of a different situation to ours, Wimbledon made contact with them at the initial release of fixtures in June and also at later stage into the season letting them know of there annual international wombles day.

They requested and were granted a home fixture in march for a day when they get all there international based fans to fly in etc and make a thing of it.

Around 150 usual come over for the game from far and wide and now that game has just been moved to TV with barely a month's notice.

 

Thinking of flying in for this but would be not be happy if they change it to Thursday.

 

Sounds like a good initiative - fair play to them. I hope our situation carries a bit more weight though. Maybe Cardiff or Lincoln will be looking at promotion that day and hopefully TV schedulers will gravitate to them - otherwise, as things stands, ours is an attractive fixture!

 

Same but I’ll be coming from Dublin and not KRK - gig on Wednesday so I really don’t want a Thursday game …

 

I see Bradford Bulls have just drawn Wigan away in the challenge cup on the weekend of the 14/15th March.

It has avoided selection by Sky so confirmed as a 3pm kick off.

Sky have Lincoln vs Stockport as expected and Rotherham vs Bolton. The home game against Mansfield will also be on normal Sky Sports+ with Barnsley vs Wigan picked as the game for Sky Sports Football.

 

Glad it's been kept at 3pm KO, relatively easy one on the train about £20 so cheaper than usual coach I'd use

 

Incredible. Last time I went we were in the top 6 at this level, Max Power played for Wigan then. Think we took about 3000 with POTD.

 

Are we expecting anymore to be released I didn’t think they were on sale yet not even looked with it being a fair few weeks away!
