If Burton could play against the lower end teams they'd be a top side this season. They've only beaten Wimbledon, Northampton and Blackpool from the bottom half and at the time of beating Wimbledon they were in the play offs. So far they've got 4 points against Cardiff and Huddersfield, 3 points (very nearly 4) against Bolton, 3 points against us

Yep they’re unbeaten in their last 9 at home, last home defeat was 2-0 v Mansfield on 18/10.

 

Hoping for our second double of the season but would settle for a valuable point. If it means we drop to 6th then our home form becomes more important than ever.

Our next opponents Peterborough just banged in 6 goals this afternoon, that’s as many as we have scored in the last 8 games .Two very tough home games coming up in Peterborough and Stockport.

 

aye.. and looks like Wigan are in deep poo poo.

 

Cardiff,Lincoln,and Bolton all won again today,the gap at the top gets ever wider.We are now behind Huddersfield on goal difference,although we have two games in hand.

 

Not a bad set of results from the 3pm games. Cardiff and Lincoln look like they will run away with 1 and 2, Lincoln play Bolton next week so possibly last chance for Bolton to challenge for 2nd.

Stockport drawing 0-0 and had their right back sent off, they don't play next weekend as they were due to play Burton who are in the FA cup so he will be suspended for the game against us. Huddersfield coming back from 2-0 down to draw isn't ideal and they have some nice fixtures coming up so they could go on a very good run. Peterborough getting a big win and they are looking like a team that could challenge for top 6 as their form since Williams came in is very good, I think that result will see Lowe get sacked at Wigan as they are in big trouble with tough matches coming up. Wycombe are another who've recovered well after a poor start and could be a threat for top 7.

 

If Lincoln beat Bolton next week I think top 2 is finished. Huddersfield have got the fixtures to get top 6 comfortably, after Stevenage next week they don't play a top half side until the middle of March with 4 of them 5 games against relegation fighting teams. I wouldn't be surprised if in a month's time there is only 1 or 2 play off places up for grabs.

Peterborough are inconsistent so we shouldn't fear them. Wycombe look the stronger side.

 

I wouldn't say they are that inconsistent, since Williams took over they are 4th in the table. They have lost some recently but 3 of the 4 have been against Lincoln, Huddersfield and Stevenage. Wycombe's away record is hurting them as they've only won 2 away from home all season
