Losing's always sh*t, but i think we're giving what we've got as a club overall. Lets not be spoiled kids about this. We'd all have jumped at a 8-10the place finish at the start of the season and that's what's likely.

Have a proven goalscorer in Mullin but dont supply him

Made a good game of it second half at least and much better than the previous two away games. Unfortunately the same result

 

All our dealings should have been done early doors ....... and i know some folk are making out its been a great window ????, ....... got a nasty feeeling that not getting the players in before that run of games will damage us

 

An overrun midfield and too many players off their game today.

Tilt, Neufville, Power, Jackson particularly off it today.

Especially when the other three promoted teams aren't exactly pulling up trees. The turnover of players from May 2025 shows the challenge.

 

Well that run of bad away games is out of the window now so lets see what happens now ............but untill we actually stop letting teams do what they want then dont think these results will stop

It's all we've got

 

With Sparks saying we've got a mid table budget (I think it was 11 or 12th) then really we're over achieving in our first season back. The pressure comes next season when we have to up.our game a level to be a genuine threat for promotion (I don't think we are this season fwiw), to me it means a more expansive style of football that gets the best out of your attacking players.

 

We've got far more attacking options than we had at the start of the window but without some creativity in midfield to provide them with service , we might as well as resigned Guthrie and Angol and saved ourselves a few bob.

 

Another poor performance away from home. Painful to watch most of that.

 

We'll beat Posh Saturday and get back into the mix, we know our away form isn't the best but as long as were winning at Valley Parade we should start getting points away at the likes of Wimbledon, Port Vale, Wigan, Burton Albion, and
Exeter City, come on guys were STILL very much in this promotion chase.

 

I still think we can get the top 6 if we actually start playing against teams instead of doing nothing or little to stop them.
Will Mansfield ,Lincoln ,Huddersfield and now Luton have easier games this season ??????

It could have been even more flattering if Wheatley had done better and Metcalf had kept his shot down in the last minute or so, we certainly looked on the front foot early second half until they got their second.
