Difficult to judge him really as never really got a prolonged run in the team.

I can inly imagine that GA has seen Tilt have couple of poor games at left CB and has decided that particular experiment has to stop, hence re-signing McIntyre as a better option there.

I don't think Parker has made any mistake. You have misinterpreted "returned" as meaning to us, when in summing up the entire transfer window he means returned to Pompey.
I wish we were signing McIntyre as a free Agent to be honest.

 

He hasn't been picked up by City after release, well not yet.

 

Maybe it was all a rouse to get him here from Portsmouth without having to pay a fee .

I thought McIntyre looked a class above Byrne and Kelly and Pennington. Baldwin is a bit injury prone,i'd welcome him back

 

Disagree he is better than Byrne but I think Kelly is a better defender and Pennington certainly is.McIntyre is slow and a bit lightweight

 

Well overall I am quite happy with the January window. I too would like McIntyre back, he can play in midfield if necessary.

It became obvious during the window that we were being outbid by our rivals in the top 6. I wanted us to go for it, but I also do not want to saddle ourselves with debt. I also think that those clubs that have spent loads of money on their squads already have not exactly been dominating the league bar Cardiff who are a class above. I trust our recruitment team and I do not think they have let us down. GA has the skill of getting everyone to play as a team. No prima donnas here! We seem a bit light in our defence although the good side of that maybe that GA stops tinkering with it

I think auto’s are well and truly out of the pic, but the play offs are not. If we end up in league one next season so be it, but it will allow us loads of scope to get more quality players in.

 

Don't know why but I wonder if GA thought height was a factor when thinking about the position he wanted him to play, sound player but not the tallest.. I don't know...
