    Transfer window’s shut.

Sibley, Ashby, White, Mullin, Jackson, Wheatley and Evans in.

Cook, Pattison, Halliday, Richards, Byrne, Kavanagh, Leigh all depart.

What’s your formation and who is your XI when they are all fit?

Other than Mullin for Humpryhs our strongest 11 is the same now as it was pre January

Wheatley for Humphrys on the basis that he's actually a striker, otherwise its as you were.

Jackson the only other one who comes close to being a starter and will be whilst Sarcevic is out.

The rest probably won't make 15 starts between them.

That's roughly what I was thinking. Mullin gives us something extra, whoever he takes the place of. Wheatley might just surprise us....I hope

The front three formation will be interesting

    Left Wheatley
    Middle Humps or MullXX
    Right Jackson

    all interchanging across the front?

I’ve a gut feeling Bobby and Sarce could become bench back ups (if available)

Surely Mullin is better than Humph in that formation. I'm hoping Wheatley is the surprise package

With Evans coming in, we have a player capable of playing in a midfield three. Power and Evans anchoring and Metcalfe given more license to get forward. It won’t be plan A but it is a plan B we could explore at some point in games not going our way.

Gonna be interested to see how Wheatley fits in and whether we ever play two up top now. Is Humphrys effectively competing with Bobby for a game now?

Yes agree . I was thinking more along the lines that Humps and Mullin will share the load every game.

No Wheatley is said by Nathan’s earlier write up to be better coming on the left side , I think Bobby will be benched IF Wheatley makes a big impact ?

That will give us a big dilemma then because Wheatley does seem quicker and bigger

Possibly and maybe away from home unless Bobby can up his game in that department. I am also sure that ManU have let us have him so he gets plenty of game time.

That’s what I suspect if we stay with three up top ? Some ain’t going to like it but putting it out there.

No coincidence Neufville looked way better with Jackson in front of him.

Alexander badly needs pace and energy behind the lone striker, something that has been lacking as the season has gone on. I expect to see quite a bit of Wheatley and Jackson in those roles.

    Walker
    Back three Touray, Wright, Baldwin
    Wing backs Wright, Nuefville
    Metcalfe, Power
The front three is where i think we see the changes, Mullin should definitely start with a fit Swan as replacement. Then you have two from Pointon, Sarce, Wheatley, Jackson, Lapslie, White, Humphrys.

Was about to post exactly the same. Neufville for me is our biggest attacking threat when he's playing well. If Jackson's energy is used effectively we've potentially freed up out biggest asset if Jackson can keep opposition teams under pressure in that quarter of the pitch.

You missed out McIntyre in the departed group.

    So eight out, seven in.

The two behind the one are arguably the most important positions in an Alexander line up. Without their effectiveness with the press the wing backs struggle to get out of their own half, that in turn sees Metcalfe and Power in our own half, like a knock on effect.

He was back to somewhere near his best form on Saturday.
Constantly running past the fullback and involved in our best moments.
Topped off with the cross for the goal.

Player for player, lets see where we stand

Ashby v Halliday - Experienced pro, well liked by his colleges, model professional, leader in the group. Those attributes will be hard to replace but Ashby has a higher ceiling and comes with a greater pedigree

Evans v Leigh - Leigh was lightweight and never found form. Evans has an abundance of experience at this level. Upgrade

White v Pattison - Jury out on this one but the signs aren’t promising so far

Wheatley v Kav - Upgrade. Kav either plays as the furthest attacker or shouldn’t play at all. Wheatley can play across the front line so upgrade

Byrne v N/A - May be the only time ive seen Byrne win this season

Richards v Sibley - Not like for like, but the potential is there for Sibley. Richards was always absent so no big loss

Mullin v Cook - two different types of strikers but Mullin may suit our style of play than Cook did. Promising cameo on his debut

McIntyre v N/A - May come back for all we know

    Leaving Jackson

so id say overall, improvement, but the defence for now, looks lightweight
