Richie Smallwood linking up with his old teammate for the rest of the season
Just signed for Bristol Rovers on loan that went well for Tranmere.

Nathan has done some midfield stats for Evans . I have to say they are up there despite what Blackpool say.

Hes had a period of 18 months I believe which have been injury free but prior, he was known as a bit of a sicknote as his former clubs. Hopefully the injuries stay at bay but there is always the worry that he is more prone to picking up something due to previous

We started the window with a weakened attack it’s now a lot stronger. I think priorities changed with injuries tonSwann and Sarcevic. Would have liked a good young defender but you can’t have everything

We’ve strengthened the squad IMO. None of the outgoings have stayed in League One, which tells you a lot - only Halliday arguably close to the same level. In contrast several of those in coming have decent recent experience in this division (or higher).

Fair, there isn’t a ‘big name’ as some might have expected, but at what risk and cost does that come at? In this window, not a gamble I want the club to take. So for me, on paper, I’m satisfied with the outcome of this window.

We have a decent league one team with decent depth but it’s no where near good enough for promotion. The clubs around us I think have done much better than us with the likes of Stockport, Bolton and Town all signing decent players.
I think Mullin will be good for us but the rest are abit meh.

We’re just laying the foundations for a major summer rebuild aren’t we. We’ve offloaded lads that were backups that were unlikely to be offered new deals with loan lads, mostly.

it gives us a good bit of flexibility when those loans end as we don’t know for sure if we’ll be needing to sign players to set us up for a Championship relegation scrap or another L1 promotion campaign.

from the point of view of the offloaded players, they’ve secured longer term deals and more security.

We’ve certainly strengthened upfront, instead of Cook and Kavanagh as squad players we’ve now got Mullin, Wheatley and Jackson. We’re not going to get an expensive signing to be back up to Power and Metcalfe. I know some fans wanted us to spend £500,000 but what does it guarantee ? We can look at Mullin on loan and decide how to use our budget in a much wider market in the summer.

The beginning of the transfer window, many of our fans knew the players in our squad which had to go and end of the window it's been a sucess ;)

The only player I was unhappy about leaving was Halliday but I think our attack seems much stronger in Mullin, Wheatley and Jackson.

A busy January. Haven't lost anyone that was a first team regular although to be fair i don't think any of them have been consistently good to warrant decent bids bar Metcalfe who i suspect we will get serious bids for in the summer. Brought in some experience and a couple of younger players, looks like they've all been brought in to in some way service Alexanders preferred formation of 3-4-2-1, Mullin as the striker, Jackson and Wheatley with pace and energy for the 2 behind the striker, Evans as cover for Power and Metcalfe, Sibley to cover the left side positions. Ashby to cover right side. White an attacking midfield option. On paper would have to say we are stronger with more options off the bench but only time will tell how effective the window has been.

We don't have a big name in the squad but are in a position none of us would have believed at the start of the season.

Well Ryan Hardie for one. An excellent striker on his day. Pretty sure they signed Mumba for a reported £1mill… 2 players who would walk into our team to be honest.

Not for me they wouldn’t . The full back was slaughtered by the Hudds fans on his debut from memory.
