They've chucked money at him. I mean, if you want to stay up, he's a good player to have. Having watched them, they need more than him though - at least one big CB needed.

 

Maybe roll of a dice hoping that one of these players pay off and they get back up or the shit is about to hit the fan

Watched Wheatley play for England (think it was u19) - lots of pace and skill.

 

Still shocked he's gone to them. Would have thought there'd be plenty of interest higher up.

He's played quite a few games in league 1 and scored 10 in a relegated Morecambe side from midfield .

Wigan fans dont rate him. He's seemingly out the picture in midfield at Wigan with Moxons arrival, he played last week but at right back after Wigans injury issues in defence. This is his 5th or 6th club i think at this level? Doesn't look like a player that has found his feet and kicked on yet. He uses the same agent as Pointon, Swan and Joe Wright, wonder if we are being linked after doing so much work with the agency in the last 6 months or so?
