His L2 run at Rochdale pads that out a bit, his Blackpool career was more my thinking. He wasn't returning much in the CH or L1, which is where need to be thinking if we are spending that much money.

He scored in 3 of his last 36 league games for Blackpool, a record of 16 in 77 in all comps for them, a goal every 248 mins since he moved there in January 2022. For a City goals per mins compare to his last 3 and a half seasons before Burton, we have Dom Poleon (a goal every 244) and Matt Derbyshire (a goal every 248). He only scored in 2 of his first 14 L1 starts at Burton, it's since October he's been scoring in every other game. Feels a bit Vadaine-y for me

 

I was told he was coming…..but like I say, this was last week and Jackson wasn't mentioned at that point and things do change in January. Maybe we have dropped interest now.

If you either don’t trust or just dislike the club this much, why bother keeping tabs on them? Surely there’s better things to do than complain about things you don’t even know are true or not?

 

I'd imagine the reason Wheatley hasn't been confirmed yet, is Man United waiting to see if Zirkzee goes anywhere.

 

Plymouth fans seem to think they are in for Elliot Lee today, Luton fans too although it's easier to find a player they aren't linked with at the minute.

 

You don’t have to be a conspiracy expert to see how this club handle things when it comes to money. All promises but never materialise on ground and training facilities. Christ they can’t even get WIFI in the ground due to budgets, can’t get electric advertising round the whole ground, new seats lists goes on and on. So no conspiracy just lots of evidence this club do not take risks, do not spend money but like to give the impression they do.

 

Love the club go home and away but I ditest how it’s run the lack of ambition for a really committed fan base. I am angry that it’s in someone’s hands in my opinion which doesn’t deserve it or nurture it to be best and has damaged it in the last 10 years. How people can forget about it is beyond me.

 

You maybe right, but it is a stretch to say we put in a false bid ie £500k to alert all the supporters that we are ready to spend money.

 

Few L1 bits......

Wes Harding is joining Plymouth on loan, sounds like that one is about to be announced. Barnsley are battling with Bristol Rovers for winger Ryan Glover from Barnet. Wigan are signing Caylan Vickers, a winger who was on loan at Barnsley for the first half of the season. And Stephen Negru was made available by Oxford, we were linked a few times in the last year or two, but he's going to Hibs and apparently he turned down a Lincoln approach to go to the SPL.

 

Nowt like a good conspiracy to whet the appetite
