agree with you but for slightly different reasons. I don't think he would sign another deal with us. His job here is done and I think he would look for another promotion challenge at league 2 level. He has never been a person who has stayed at a club for too lon.

I think Sarce leaves in the summer, but surprised folk think it could happen this window. Even now If fit, 9 times out of 10 he’s starting games. He’s too dependable to GA to let go at this time. We aren’t going to complete the rest of the season with Jackson and Lapslie fighting for the right forward role either, especially when Jackson isn’t yet match fit.

 

Well according to the t&a this morning Wheatley and another position so probably rules out going back in for Beesley ?

 

Cant see Beesley happening. GA indicating Wheatley and potentially one more in a different position. I am hoping a smokescreen as I think Beesley would be a massive boost to our chances of at least a play off spot

 

Beesley was never never ever happening. We will not part with money this window on players.

 

May be an unpopular opinion but as we now have Mullin, I can't see us signing Beesley.

Alexander isn't changing his formation unless he's forced to by match circumstances.

Beesley, Mullin and Humphrys in the squad means only one of them is on the pitch at a time, for reasons we have already debated about Humphrys.

The player i would push for would be Elliot Lee but I suspect others will push their wages higher.

 

We've parted with money on Kayden Jackson. Whether it's a transfer fee, a signing-on fee or payments structured across a contract it's all money being spent.

If a deal presented itself that the club thought was good value I believe they'll do it. The challenge is finding that deal.

 

Would love Elliott Lee but I cant see it. Thinking today we see Wheatley and a back up CB come through the doors and thats probably it.

 

Not so sure about back up CB. We were in the market for Ward, so if bringing one in, I would hope and suspect it would be for first choice.

 

A back up midfielder perhaps? Losing Power or Metcalfe for a period would leave us very light in there.

Yep, pretty sure his preferred position is CM/AM but as we well know, that means nothing to our Graham!

 

We've obviously not seen much of him, but he doesn't look as though dropping back, covering etc is his natural game. But yes, maybe he's that option.

 

Only saying back up mainly as it seems our targets are going elsewhere. Ward and Harding are two known targets, might well have been others. If we are onto our 3rd/4th/5th choice for the role, they might be more the back up type than a starter if the markets pretty dry in terms of quality at the last knockings.

 

It could be that we signed Jackson after Beesley bid was rejected and didn’t want to up our offer, I suppose. We’ll know by tonight anyway!
