He looks a tough cookie just like Mullins. Hopefully some much needed aggression from the pair and goals to come

 

Cant see it, looks like he's played right wing or right of a front 3 mainly since his first season at Ipswich.

Looks like they tried him as a striker, found out very quickly he hasn't the best technical abilities, moved out wide due to his physical traits, played right wing for years now. Ipswich and Derby fans give him a similar write up.

Bags of endeavour and drive, loads of determination, quick.... but very little ability. Sounds like he wins the fans around with his drive and want, but pisses the rest of because he is pretty naff with the ball. But our lot are crying out for some players with drive, so hopefully something clicks here.

They paid him how much a week because he has little technical ability , really ? Are they saying CC clubs didn’t do technical due diligence ? He’s a CC player dropping to L1. Fickle fans eh ?

Judging by the video City released of final preparations for tomorrow with the number 19 shirt entering the changing room, I would say yes.

I asked my brother who is an Ipswich fan for his view. This is what he said.
"One of the few half decent contributions Ipswich's worst ever manager Paul Hurst made during his brief tenure in 2018 was to sign him from Accrington Stanley. He certainly wasn't prolific, but played his part in the 22/23 promotion from L1 and I think was often played as a winger rather than a striker, where he was possibly more effective...Was very much a bit part player the following season and McKenna released him after promotion to the Prem, but can probably still do a decent job in L1. Bradford born and bred btw and I'm sure he said in a programme article once that he supported BC as a kid, so I'm sure he's excited to join them.
I last saw him when I covered Leyton Orient v Derby in the FA Cup last season. Orient won on pens and earned a tie against Man City in the process, but I remember him putting in a good performance."

 

Thats two announced Kayden Jackson is in the house now just Ethan Wheatley then I can breath another sigh of relief.

 

There are plenty of those types up and down the pyramid to be fair. Looks like the Derby average first team wage was about £10k last season, Jackson was a squad player at most so likely on at best the average, but likely lower than average. Cant imagine he's had to take too much of a cut to drop to L1 really.

 

This is a very strange signing. Apart from him not being particularly good, why do we need Mullin, Wheatley (assuming he signs), Jackson plus the three strikers already on our books all competing for one position? If he’s not been brought in as a striker then where does he fit in? I know he’s played out wide at some of his previous clubs but we don’t even use wingers.

Yet another signing I’m struggling to make sense of.

 

I would imagine he will play right of a front 3, similar to Sarcevic.

Humphreys to challenge Pointon for the left side now surely.

Mullin to play up top.

I reckon Kavanagh will be leaving us Monday.

 

Is there want room in his car for Tyreik do you think. Maybe even swing by Adens house?

I hope not. We would lose a big character and good footballing brain if so.
