If we are signing Mullin how are we going to use him? There are two scenarios. One, he's a direct swap for Humphrys, which would be ridiculous as Mullin isn't a lone striker either. Or two, we're going to change the system to get the best out of both Mullin and Humphrys.
My money's on one.

Halliday - solid pro but a squad member
Pattison - decent on his day but a crock
Cook - not favoured and seen better days

I dont think letting them go n terms of input on the pitch is the issue, its more so they were the soul and heartbeat of the squad. It is a very different squad to the one that took us up last season. That may be effecting things on the training pitch etc. Footballers are very precious souls these days and releasing their mates on and off the pitch may not have gone down too well.

He was a very bizarre signing from the off. Appreciate GA likes him and tried for him in the summer but his spell at Orient was surely enough to suggest he isnt up to L1 football. Looked 'ok' against Cardiff, absolutely shite against Huddersfield and did nothing at Lincoln. Still time for him to prove doubters wrong though...

 

GA really wanted Benn Ward though? No reason to suggest he wont bring in another before the deadline. McIntrye sent back to free up a loan space and Byrne loaned out because he is shite and taking a registration space.

We still have Baldwin/Pennington/Wright/Tilt/Kelly/Touray for 3 CB roles.

 

None of the forwards did anything against Huddersfield or Lincoln and that's because they aren't 10 feet high.

We've switched from using the central midfielders, wide centre back and wing back to combine and move the ball up the field by passing to someone at the back hoofing it aimlessly. No one can do anything with that.

The players have lost confidence in passing the ball through the LCB/CM/WB because other teams have seen we only have two CMs and they pack it out there. Alexander needed to see that and tweak his tactics. What has happened is that the players fear making a mistake and kick it instead. It's ok for him to say they need to paly without fear but that's unrealistic. He needs to be less pure about his system and more flexible to help the players.

White and Ashby have the right attributes to be able to play in the same way that we started the season off. We've lost that way of playing.

 

For me, if Touray is a CB then we need a wing back.

It's not helpful to continually be switching Touray from one to the other. Alexander needs to decide what he is and then fill the gap in the opposite position.

 

Dont disagree but GA thinks Sibley is a LWB so I don't see it.

don't disagree with that it wasn't really meant as a slight on Humphrys. Although striker on not i think any attacking player should offer much more of a goalscoring threat than he does, i agree he offers much more cutting in from wide.

At least Humphrys is prepared to take a man on, which is more than can be said for Tyreik these days. Surely GA has to see sense and try him wide left?

 

Heard this one too. Apparently his dad works at a large Bradford organisation and is telling people his son is signing.

As much as we all love Bobby as one of our own, his performances have tailed off along with the rest of the team
In a way its not a bad thing, if he was now sat on a dozen goals and performing to a good level every week, offers would have been made and more than likely taken in the name of improvement elsewhere in the team.
At least the spotlight is off for now and he can settle into the higher level and hopefully push on , a move to the championship , would ruin him at this stage. T wright the perfect example, his little stint at Plymouth has ruined him.

 

looking at the vids, Wheatley often drops into midfield and brings others into the game.. plays well across the front line as well.
