Let it go folks too much bravado put on tickets sold and empty seats , it’s all a bit of enjoyable banter but you do seem to have a large amount of fans that actually think it really does matter . It doesn’t , what really matters and it’s the only thing is 3 points and being above them in the league which you are . Gain promotion and it’s that simple. The billy big boy we get bigger gates really is totally irrelevant and reading some of the above from an outside perspective it all comes across a bit sad.
Beat them to promotion and the banter is yours , the rest pointless .

 

Absolutely.
There is this strange persistent myth amongst the dogs’ fans that we distribute zillions of free or dirt cheap tickets and heavily discount pay on the day entrance (when the opposite is the case). Also that our ST price is much cheaper than it actually is. Obviously getting big crowds is a good thing from an income generation and support point of view. But, as you rightly say, who gets more than whom is neither here nor there and all that really matters is the results of games and the respective final league positions.

 

Town fans are the most fickle twats going and history will back it up ...........there prices could be banfg in line with ours but do they really think there gates would be like ours after all the shite we have to put up with from 2000 onwards despite the odd good years ................we all know the answer to that there goodtime fans the end.

 

Again - I was only passing on the opinions of a Town fan, which I though might be of interest i only because I was surprised any other teams fans either knew or cared that we didn't own our training ground. I forgot to say he did also add that we train at a school

 

And yet we're still above them in the league.....despite all these huge setbacks that we have....

 

Had they seen the shithow outside that lego set they would see why there where so many empty seats ...........there fanbase are nothing but fickle @?#& and i have had 40 years of seeing it ..............btw tell your mate once it goes tits up again will he be one of the 10k who go missing again like they always do.
Fooking not selling out ffs they could have given 8k and we would have sold out would them fookers ???,

 

We get bigger gates than Brentford,Bournmouth,and Brighton,but you can bet they would not want to swap places with us.

This is the perfect example of my post saying the gates and empty seats don’t matter but your fan base can’t leave it alone .
You are a prime example LET IT GO , the amount of seats sold especially when they aren’t really much different doesn’t matter one bit. Move on celebrate your points and league position stop rattling on about your gates , I like Bradford as a club but far too many of you are obsessed with the fan numbers to such an extent is like you’ve got a complex.
Barnsley have a decent history , we’ve at times had good support especially when having successes , I don’t give a hoot if we get more or less support than Huddersfield, all I care is we get promoted in front of them.
As a fan base you really need to let go of fan numbers it’s irrelevant, I’ve been nothing but positive about you this year and you will probably give me stick for this but I’m just saying it as I see it.

Incidentally when I warned we were in trouble when Grant was sacked earlier in this thread there were plenty of non believers that there is no such thing as the new manager bounce, well they fought for every ball ,the crowd got right behind them and they’ve just reduced the 7 point gap to1 away from us .

 

Shall we go through all of the new managers and list the many that had zero "new manager bounce"?

Town have a great squad, put together by spending plenty of cash. All they needed was someone with half an idea about football and it was obvious that they'd improve.

They are an irritating club, their fan base can be pretty vociferous when needed and intimidating. . We beat them years ago in a playoff semi after they did us 1 nil in first leg we beat them at their place 3 v 1 iIT WAS BEAUTIFUL, But after the game it was like running the gauntlet and not a pleasant trip back to car.
