Well I'm looking forward to tonight. After the debacle of Saturday this is the right time and right opponent to see where we are as a team.
Could we lose, possibly. But I'm looking for a reaction from the management team and players. A determined, gritty, organised performance is a must
Why a Lincoln rather than Doncaster? Less pressure from the stands and the opponent is widely valued as favourites. Maybe I'm wrong but a frustrated, grumbling valley parade on Saturday after the Huddersfield game does feel more challenging especially if the transfer window continues as seen so far.

Referee: Berkshire's Stephen Parkinson will be officiating the Bantams for the first time. He has shown two red cards in 22 games this season

If we win everything will be rosy again, that's how it works on here. No reason why we can't go and get a result albeit against a team bang in form. Weather will help, don't think it will be conducive to a passing type game and I think that helps us. Main problem with Swan and Sarce out is where the goals come from, a point in the circumstances would be a great result.

And if we turn our another turgid performance
VP and Doncaster could be bloody toxic

Contrary to all logic, I've got a feeling we will get a positive result tonight. We were so off the scale of bad on Saturday, that I'm expecting a reaction both from the 11 he starts with and from GA himself. Saturday would have hurt and so it should.
Lincoln are in great form but are nothing more than a solid, workmanlike side imo - similar to ourselves before the recent dip in form.
I think this could be the ideal game to bounce back from Saturday- if there isn't a reaction then a 3 or 4-0 defeat is on the cards but for some reason I dont see that happening.

True. But in times of adversity ( which this certainly is not) do you shy away or grab the bulls by the horn?

Absolutely. The season will be not defined by January 26

I don't see a performance as bad as Saturday, it's rare under Alexander that we don't turn up, because of this I expect the more usual tight game between two fairly evenly matched teams.

Personally I would grab it full on and beat the living daylights out of it
Not sure professional footballers have the same desire

I agree on the first point 100%. The latter, lets see at 9.40pm tonight and hopefully I'm driving back happy

    Setting off in an hour.
Ready to give our all in the hope the lads can battle their way to some kind of reward.

We’re getting battered tonight. Not looking forward to it at all, and it’s not often I’ve said that this season. Wouldn’t surprise me to see us on the end of a 4-0 defeat, I can just feel it in my bones.

To me it has a feeling of that Port Vale away game last season. Just had a feeling that we would be bullied off the park all day long despite the optimism around the place at the time. Got a terrible feeling that we are going to get beaten and beaten badly tonight

I finish work 15 minutes before kick off tonight so my walk home will mean I miss the first 10 minutes or so. If I walk really slowly I might miss the whole of the first half. Here's hoping they pull their collective finger out and get back to winning ways.

Interesting to see how this pans out. Lincoln have the lowest possession stats in the division at only 41.7% but have scored 44 goals. We average a lower mid table 47.9% but have scored 35. Will they sit back at home against us, let us have the ball, and try to catch us on the break? The worry is that, if they do, we might look as clueless at creating and finishing chances as we did against the ten man dogs.
They are massively out-performing their xG. They don’t make many decent chances but tend to stick ‘em away when they do. If our defence is on it we could keep them quiet up front but, if not, their clinical finishing could see us take a painful beating.

    I'm afraid we're going to see the same as recent matches;
    • Us with 2 in central midfield, them with 3 in central midfield.
    • Them, doing what we did, getting the ball forward quickly and then winning second balls because of having an extra player in midfield and then us on the back foot with them on top on the edge of our box.
    • Us forgetting to play to the wide wing backs where we should have the advantage with our formation and instead hoofing it aimlessly towards Humphrys
All of that resulting in us starting poorly, going behind and losing. Lincoln are on a fantastic run of form, some will say "it has to end at some point". Yes, but not today, against a team that are shooting less, working the keeper less and scoring less than at the start of the season.
