With the squad being extremely thin for this evening
It will be very interesting to see who isn’t in it
    Lapslie, Leigh

They must see something in him? Not a very illustrious career so far at 27?

Don’t think any speculation would affect Bobby whatsoever IMO. He seems to be very happy here.

Yes ,not exactly a sparkling career.
Who knows, he might fit in there perfectly

I didn't say we didn't need players in now.

Lapslie off to Cheltenham last I heard.
Leigh was in the squad Saturday and tbh he might even start tonight.

He is one of our own mate, so I think it would need to be a pretty big move for him to turn his head in my opinion
With our current transfer policy who knows though, it feels like the club would take any reasonable offer
The business so far is extremely disappointing

Lapslie certainly not given much opportunity this season. I thought he looked quite promising last
Leigh , where is his best position?

I suspect that his foot hadn't recovered fully at the weekend and that would have hampered his game. I doubt very much that there has been any transfer interest in him. From a League 1 club's perspective, he's playing for his hometown club and we are currently well positioned in our division. From a Championship club's perspective, he's a skilful player but without much pace and without the physicality which most Championship clubs look for. I doubt his head is being turned at the moment.

It's the old adage "it's a short career".. if the money was right I wouldn't blame any player moving on.
He may be a city supporter but loyalties are superseded by financial security in this game.. I'm sure his agent is earning his fee in this window.

CH clubs will want to see more output from him before taking a proper look. He's not had a league assist away from home for over 2 years, he's scored 1 away goal in his last 15 away league apps. Teams will probably want more to show that he's not just a home crowd player before taking a gamble on him.

Lapslie is a strange one - I don’t think he has ever been given a fair go

I like your figures but despite all the extra income I would think the club will still make a significant loss on the season. They will have budgeted for the extra crowds with some of the lucrative fixtures. The playing budget will have taken the season ticket extra money into account. The only extra income not accounted for would be the Newcastle game but against that getting knocked out of FA cup in first round would have been a blow to the finances. They will have freed up some wages with the departures although we will still be paying a significant part of Andy Cooks wage. I’m sure however there will be incomings before the deadline.

Has it actually occurred to anyone that Rupp may well have made funds available and the signings or lack of are not made by him personally, but by "professionals" he employs?

I think they budget for one round in each cup
Also had a bit of cash from the tin pot trophy
There must be money in the bank
Are we saving for the summer?

Just noticed that Gillingham are paying £250k on a striker from Ross County in the Scottish champ. Salford spent £400k on a striker too this window. MK spent nearly £1m on a striker too in the summer from memory? L2 money is even getting large these days.

Your not adding the potential for the POTD sales to continue till the end of the season if we have a go ...........but if we simply do nothing we will lose thousands of POTD merchants and you know whats worrying the fanbase they got back onside could easily turn toxic again................the players have done there bit in getting us here ........the fans have got behind it ................but come the summer if our failure is doen to the board then they deserve all thats coming there way

Knowing our window, GA will say we dont need an experience striker because Leigh is going to play up top again.
