Only issue is, with the players currently available, we could show all the fight in the world but at the end of the day maybe just not good enough to beat Lincoln.

Big game today.

This is one where it's not all about quality, it's about mentality. We aren't where we are because we're a top 4 team on quality IMO, but at the same time you can't get by giving your absolute all every week either, it's not sustainable.

That's what we've been doing, making up the shortfall with sheer hard work and a good press. It hasn't been there for a while now, so we have to lift ourselves for this one because we'll soon be playing sides we are on a par with - Lincoln are better than us.

Big effort here, a couple more big games against sides like Luton and Stockport, and then theres a BIG run of games against sides more on our level where we can determine our season.

 

This rain should suit our style of play very well. Lets start with Joe Wright up front with Humprys. Hoooooofffff!

 

Where's Luke Oliver when you need him?

 

We've had a few "hybrids" in our time. Andy Tod, Oliver. Phil Babb actually went the other way and became a defender after he started off with us up top. Made a decent career of it.

 

Joe Wright started as a striker according to a guy I know who works in football development.

 

Can't do any worse than Hump or Kav! Get him started.

 

Joe cooke was the best for us

 

Although with our last two results it's looking very much like a home win I would honestly rather be playing Lincoln than the likes of Vale, Rotherham etc, we will have to be at our best (with what players we have available) but Lincoln know it won't be easy.

 

Skubala was at the Town game and said Huddersfield we excellent on the day but City aren't where they are through luck, in fact he was full of praise saying what we do we do very well and expects a close game, obviously he's going for a win for the reason you said above to up a bit of daylight between second and third in the league.

 

SHD he's a little naive at times he knows his stats etc he had Cook to start the other week and every one knows Alexander was never going to start Cook, bench possibly he never made the squad, we know now why he didn't

 

Might not be a bad idea. Joe Wright only has 1 less goal than Humphrys this season. He'd probably out score him if played up front.

 

A “ little” . No disrespect to the lad but some of the clickbait headlines on his vids make me want to look elsewhere at times.
