January 26 transfer rumours

We have needed theright players for months a striker for starters and if we had to pay that little bit extra then so be it .............but if we bring nobody in and wejust simply slide away then that doesnt bode well for the potential of brong more season ticket sales in does it ?????

I mean if we are having thousands of POTD ffans turning up then there is a big chance you may have a few of them buying season tickets but they really gonna bother if the club has simply given up on promotion in January ?????

 

Let's hope we get value for money from them then.

Also, why the 1st Feb and not the 2nd when the window closes?

 

Said similar a few weeks back. Guys like Halliday, Cook, Pattison knew the club inside out, had a connection with the fans and must have been seen as senior pros around the dressing room. Someone your new guys are introduced to when they sign to get a feel for the squad.

The 3 loanees have little experience and no sway as of yet and likely wont be here next season. Huge gamble taking out senior figures in the dressing room. If those players asked to leave then fair enough, but if we moved them on to bring in a loan who might not even start, thats worrying.

 

Does anyone else think it's a bit odd that GA hasn't done a pre match interview for tonight like Manning has done for Hudds? Or am I reading far too much into it?

 

I don't think he's ever done one for a Tuesday night game has he?

Honestly they get the whole fanbase back on side to possibly go back down the toxic route ..........is it so hard to show a little ambition ?????

A striker currently scoring goals for their club won’t be available or affordable to us in a January transfer window.
There’s no point signing anyone who currently can’t get into a L1 or L2 team.
An out of favour proven championship striker will want assurances that he’ll play every game if fit which means GA would have to drop Humphries or play him wide.

 

We need more than a striker to be fair - priority needs to be a striker and to start creating chances again.
It’s not like the current crop are getting any kind of service right now

Sounds like a win/win to me. GA needs to swallow his pride and admit Humphrys isn't a centre forward but could be more effective playing wider, although admittedly we don't seem to have another option at the moment

 

I think we need a quicker CB, Tilt and Wright in the same 11 against any team with pace or lads good in space frightens the life out of me.

I think we need another CM too with legs to get forward or at least the ability to play the ball forwards. Power and Metcalfe are too similar to be in a 2 man midfield.

At least one striker, i'd like Wheatley and an experienced head but i don't see it coming. I'd have loved a quick option in the attacking mid areas too but with White and Sibley already coming in, i cant see us adding a third new face to that area.

Manning is on a PA exercise, there are more Huddersfield videos in the last 6 days than they produced in the last month. Don’t add to the nonsense , and no it’s not odd. I would have thought game preparation and player recruitment is 100 times more important , Manning clearly doesn’t , GA does. Can you imagine the outrage if it were the other way round during the transfer window especially?

 

Wright is the slow one , I’ve thought that since the Donny game.
