January 26 transfer rumours

We have the fifth best defence in the league, despite Penno and Tilt having been out for big chunks of the season. Including Touray, we have six CBs for three places, even if Byrne leaves as expected. I honestly can’t see why we should be spending money on wages for another CB at the moment. Any spare dosh surely needs to go on goalscorers and midfield creativity.

 

We cannot compete but we can have a go without risking our future ..............sad thing to say but the best thing to happen is either A the PL goes bust or B the gloryhunting prick sides fook off and join the Euro league .............

 

What’s more is that championship clubs don’t even spend that much on transfer fees. Summer 25 12 clubs spent less than £10million on players. 2 clubs spent nothing at all and Hull who are losing 40 million quid spent £700,000. All the money is being pumped into wages on loans or picking up experienced free transfers. The losses are huge and yet the gap between the Champ and Prem is enormous.

 

I see Ruben Rodrigues has just been released from the side he's been playing for in Portugal, he would be an excellent challenge/long term replacement for Sarcevic.

 

Have you seen the multitude of posts in different threads now advocating a formation change ?

I would have said for the forseeable future the 3 going up would drop straight down but every chance now sadly that two of them could stay up

If you count all the players we've nearly signed I reckon we're going to struggle to register them all.

Perhaps leave John Spicer and Billy Sharp out to be fair, they're both knocking on a bit.

 

Is a 3 in 22 scorer at this level and possibly injured really the answer to our problems

I'm only presuming, that because he looks like Jon Stones, they think he can play like him. Get him sent over there in a cab ASAP before they realise they are wrong!

To be fair, nothing against the fella, but he's not got the quality and I can only assume Doncaster have one eye on another season in L2 where, to be fair, he's been getting promotions.

 

Swap Sharp for Byrne.. at least we'll get a goal or 2 out of him.
