I agree. We are so easily bossed because compared to the other Top teams we are outmuscled.
Power just needs to get the yellow and reset. He can't go the rest of the season being hamstrung like this. It's not helping the team.

Well that was as poor a game as I have seen for a very long time.

Despite all their domination and pace, Huddersfield were crap in front of goal.

How we left the kennels only 1-0 down is truly amazing.

Despite them being down to 10 men, we did very little to really threaten any sort of comeback.

We offered nothing up front, Humphrys was truly woeful and he clearly isn’t a central striker and hoofing it up to him is a complete waste of time.

BUT since we have some dogs sniffing around and to try and but a little perspective on the ‘West Yorkshire’ derbies here are some real facts.

    Mini Table.
    1st Bradford City P2 W1 L1 Goals F3 A2 Pts3
    2ndHuddersfield Town P2 W1 L1 Goals F2 A3 Pts3

    Bigger Support?
    Attendance Valley Parade 24,075
    Attendance Colne Valley? 21,422

The attendance was lower at the Mac?(or whatever name it currently has), despite them offering tickets for a £5.

Their very expensive squad, really were unable todo the important thing which is convert energy into goals.

Yes City have a lot to do, but really the ‘mutts’ spent too much time sniffing around, rather than putting their dominance into a score, which will be remembered in the longer term.

If their ‘wonder team’ was so good how they didn’t sell out, and beat us by a huge margin, is something they should ask themselves.

Wether they like it or not they are sixth, played two more game than us and four points lower! Just remember that before they go ‘bothering’ anything!

I wish this 'but we get bigger crowds than them' would stop. It's getting embarrassing now.

I think he has been holding back on the basis that we couldn't afford to lose him for any of the Cardiff, Dogs and Lincoln games. In hindsight that hasn't helped us, but I expect him to take the shackles off now and wouldn't be at all surprised to see him pick up that yellow on Tuesday. That of course would then present another problem, but GA will have to find the best solution when that happens.

Luton will hopefully put them back in the doghouse.

And if Grimsby pulled the plug we'd end up with Cooky and his significant salary being a bit part player and we'd be no further forward. Ideally the replacement should have been ready within days of him leaving, but at least the funds are released to make sure we have them to use right now.

When we are 'pressed', pressurised, we just don't seem to have an answer, other teams have got more legs and muscle than us in most areas of the pitch. And if teams sit back in games we are (eventually) able to get crosses in but they get defended against easily, so we offer little forward threat from crosses. We've been well and truly sussed out.

Things are starting to unravel and January was a chance to make ourselves stronger, sadly that has not happened, we are picking up loanees that are a bit of an unknown quantity and at a career crossroads, and you cant help thinking the club are unable or reluctant on spending money, so ultimately you reap what you sow.

We're crying out for experienced pros in the ranks, that won't come cheap. The cheque book must be opened next week if this season isn't set to fizzle out.

It's been a really disappointing month and I suspect given the current transfer dealings and outgoings GA's soundbites (trust etc) aren't going to cut it much longer, these challenges won't be solved cheaply if the club has any sort of ambition.

Ironically with the Hoof we are playing a big man like Cook is exactly what's missing
GA can tell us all he wants that Humph is that target man we all know different
If we are serious about a promotion push Cook would have been ideal for the last 20 minute push for a winner or to hold the ball in an opponents half and run the clock down we don't have anyone capable of doing either job
Releasing funds in Cooks case was the easy bit finding and being allowed to spend on someone better is an entirely different matter
Until we replace him with someone better and cheaper it's poor business

Unless it was monetary reasons, Halliday, Cook and Pattison shouldn’t have left until the end of the transfer window where we could have had time to replace them

I think that is a bit harsh. He didn’t play well or at all at times. He is young and will need lots of encouragement. I also feel he needs a midfielder or a wingback to get the ball to him of the floor. I just can’t see past GA for yesterday. He sets them up instructs them what to do.

I was more meaning based on how he performed when he was at Orient because he certainly didn't pull up any trees there.

I suppose we will never know what went wrong. Clearly Newcastle want him playing at a lower level to see if he can fulfil his early promise.
I am concerned that the January window has seriously disrupted our happy camp that was. Now players are looking like they are lacking in confidence. We rely on our togetherness and sheer hard work to fill the lack of technical ability, that other wealthy clubs in this league enjoy.

I do not like or enjoy playing Huddersfield so feeling pretty fed up. Especially when we outclassed them and beat them easy in September.

We need at least two or three plans that will work to give us a chance this season. Saying something worked months ago and therefore further recruitment is not required is a weak response tbh.

It’s now so ingrained within our fan base that I truly think they think we deserve to be in the championship based on our support.
For context, the population of Huddersfield is 150,000 the population of Bradford is over half a million. One’s a town, the other a city.
It must kill some of you that Bolton are top of the attendance charts this season.
