Yes, it was really excellent. We recently re-watched it as a prelude to the second series, which started last week. So far it’s been good but I’ll be surprised if it matches the first series.

It’s a slow builder but very good. Keep going. I’m sad it’s ended after 9 episodes.

Currently watching Skyscraper live. This guy is just crazy, Free climbing is mental anyway but climbing a skyscraper with no ropes is just next level.

I stood at the foot of El Capitan a couple of weeks after Alex Honnold did that climb. Having seen that sheer face in the flesh (as it were) makes it all the more mind blowing to me that he did that climb with no ropes.

I watched the first episode of the new Game of Thrones series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”. Was enjoyable with some good acting. Overuse of the “c” word however - meant to be gritty and shocking I suppose. Unnecessary.

I’m also watching and enjoying the latest Fallout series.

I tried White Lotus while hungover on the sofa last Saturday. Couldn’t quite work out what was going on. Will give it another go now that I’m in a better state of mind.

Will give these skyscraper ones a watch. The Walk and Man on a Wire are also good.

The latest Running Man is a fun watch! And another King adaptation The Long Walk is good.

Season 1 was great but season 2 right now hasn't been great. The first moved along at a good pace with very little seeming like it was filler but Season 2 has felt like you get 10mins of actual content and then the rest of the episode being filler. And it's not like they need to, from the games they have so much content to use and have used such a small amount so far they could be making sure every scene moves things forward.

TBH you aren't really supposed to with any White Lotus season until right at the end of the season. They give you the mystery hook and then the whole season is a slow burn of how all these people's actions lead up to the mystery before the final episode then reveals everything

I noticed Sinners got loads of Oscar’s nominations

The biggest load of shite I’ve watched in ages.

Trying to be so many genres and failing to be any of them.

I’ve just watched it. Enjoyed it a lot! Dusk til Dawn vibes. Some good performances - liked the English lad that was in Skins and SAS Heroes. Slightly cheesy ending, but Buddy Guy deserves an Oscar.

If you are wanting a bit of light relief but don't mind some violence, eg fingers cut off, then Wrecking Crew is ok. Currently half way through it. Available on Prime

We watched it last night and thought it was good. Again agree with the Dusk till Dawn vibes. Almost didn't watch it as saw it was 2 and a quarter hours long and we did start till late but it didn't feel that long so shows how good it was.

Watched first two series of Twisted Metal which is based around drivers and their cars in a tournament to gain a wish in futurist world where the populatio is split into those behind walls in cities and those outside. Features some computer generated scenes for car battles based on computer game of the same name

Waiting for the Out. On iPlayer.
Really excellent drama about a young guy who gets a job as a philosophy teacher in a prison. He’s dealing with galloping OCD and lots of issues from his relationship with his father, who was a total bastard.
Got one more episode to watch, but loving it so far.

I'm reading good reviews about McKenzie Crook's "Small Prophets". Will tune in and give it a whirl.
