Eight players that started today also started the first game of this season. Seven of them looked like completely different players today, all collectively having their worst game of the season.

A new forward will give the midfield something to hit or aim for. Our current option gives them neither

 

In midfield and forward positions we looked a team of midgets against Hudds. Playing one up front who isn't dominant in the air can look seriously dire, it's been like this for 12 months now. Seriously lacking pace in the side against pacey opponents. I think the manager needs to be questioned in equal measure to the players on today's showing. Formation and tactics need questioning, and this 'press' phrase bollox that frankly isnt. We got pressed and had no answer.

 

People can go on about lack of players and not being good enough ..............but passion etc costs nothing and we showed nothing today

 

We have had more than our fair share of it over the season

 

Meaningless to me . Crap for 75% of the game will suffice!

 

Like those stats. Said myself for weeks now Neufville nowhere near forward enough compared to earlier in season. Same applies a bit to Tyriek. Forget Whats behind if they cannot defend it's not your fault. Your job going forward us to delivery.

 

Get what your saying but GA doesnt help himself last two game and mass subs at HT shows hes getting it wrong and now its costing us ............Pointon should be knowhere near the starting XI,playiing Humps as a CF for moths now is just bizarre and not bringing in a CF before Cook left is an odd one ..........maybe we have over achieved but you can not excuse that for the piss poor decisions over the last few weeks ..........its such a crap league and its ok folk going on about next season but if the chance is there which it is then go for it not simply give up on it.

That today was fooking awful and to me now we look nailed on for a midtsble finish ........sadly

 

Since november we have hoofed it and sometimes it's worked. Against good teams it doesn't. Most goals have come from passing ON THE FLOOR.

 

Neufville and Touray barely got beyond the halfway line today.

 

So thats it we have shown enough for 4 months nothing else matters ...............its a derby you get that a derby with bragging rights and we showed nothing .........and thats shocking whatever way you try to spin it

Cooky scored more today than ALL of our players combined.

 

Power is 100% playing within himself on this yellow too. There were a few instances where the tactical foul was in play, same last Saturday too but he just cant. I think Power needs to be in a midfield 3 with legs around him these days.

Him and Metcalfe dont quiet look set as a partnership for me, they both sit a little too deep at time and neither really want to run the ball forwards or pass it forwards. I don't think the partnership works against a decent side as a good side have wing backs/wingers who push ours back so we play a flat back 5 and then we have 2 sitting DMs, virtually a back 7 with 30+ yards between them and the attackers, making our counter attacking play that worked so well Aug-Oct, completely unusable.

Stunning observation there Leics. You forgot to mention Cook was an impact sub today. Otherwise what a valuable contribution you have made to this thread. Keep it up.

 

Apparently not, the player who crossed the ball is claiming it went straight in without Cook touching it.

 

Would you rather him or Kav ..............when balls where flying in today you needed a big lump aka an Andy Cook ............folk love him folk cannot do with him but his going has caused one big hole in our so called attack
