That call was a joke, how does the player trying to win the ball by heading it then during the challenge he gets a boot in his head the opposition player goes down like he's been shot holding his leg/foot and the referee gives a foul against the player trying to head the ball if nothing else it was a high challenge.

I found that a little strange for the interviewer not to ask why Swan and Sarcevic weren't even in the match day squad.

I feel that Mr Alexander gets an easy ride at times from the interviews

I did wonder if Swann is long term and the club are keeping it quite so they are not held to ransom in a search for striker replacements

 

We didn't sell him he's on loan so actually we have gained nothing but a little financial help from Grimsby in paying part of his wage.
I'll admit I'm a big Andy Cook fan but for all the "he's past it" "he cant play League One football" does anyone seriously believe he wouldn't have given the Town defenders more problems than either Humphry's or Kavanagh did during their time on the pitch.

 

Swan said he wasn't playing again until posters spell his name right.

 

@fishing crazy posted midweek that Swan would not be in the match day squad today as he had an injury that would keep him side lined for a while, nothing mentioned about Sarcevic but we do know he's prone to injuries (that's not a dig) .

 

Many think he should have been in the squad
We have no plan B and lumping the ball to Humphrey or Swann is pointless
We have known for months he was probably leaving this window and an adequate replacement should have been lined up and in the building

For me, noting having a striker onboard is criminal from the board and GA. As soon as we knew Swan was out for a while, we should have pressed the button on a player we were chasing

 

He put in at least two decent crosses from good positions, he kept the ball well in tight spaces and set others up for decent crossing opportunities. He did alright. Wingers running past opponents and hitting the byline is pretty rare and not going to happen in scenarios like today when they were sitting back protecting a lead.

 

Did we miss a straightforward chance today it’s not strikers or lack of them that cost us more of lack of good midfielders especially with Sarcevic missing

 

It doesn’t matter if he thinks he was innocently dancing. Tilt wouldn’t reply to that as a veteran professional so the fan can plead all he wants. If and when the EFL review footage, and if Tilt is right, then a life time ban is necessary
