As deflating a 45 minutes I've seen for some considerable time, albeit not surprising. Take out the high press from this team and it's simply nowhere near a promotion quality team.

Very poor non existent midfield Sarcevic a big miss. The only positive it’s only 1. 45 minutes to put it right

This teams identity has completely gone. The standards we had between Aug-Oct are a distant memory.

We sit far too wide, nobody tucks in to help the two in midfield so there are just gaps all over the field every time. There's always 30 yards between the striker and his support. We play slow and play it badly. It's just sad to see. Need a rocket up their arses.

Asleep at the goal however the issue is our front three.

We could take ALL three off and not miss them .
Poor service to them ofcourse , but when any of them get the ball , oh my , they are poor .

Hudds have totally changed the way they play, compress the ball into our half, press and go long down the channels .

Well, I'm feeling pretty safe here. Baldwin is completely out of his depth here and I'm not sure he even knows what Alfie May looks like yet as he's never got near him.

Oh, and Stephen Humphrys is bone fecking idle. I thought he was supposed to work the line and that's the idea of having him there?

 

When we play like this it's painful to watch. No creativity at all, relying on mistakes from the opposition to score or a wonder strike like Metcalfe last week.

Wow that was bad. Why are we resorting to hoof, or not finding our men with simple passes. The 2 man midfield isn’t working and with the botherers pushing their defensive line up to the halfway line, we just don’t have the quality to find the space.

This is what happens when you piss about in the window and leave all your hopes on an injured 19 year old to come through the doors. We’ve got nobody to bring off the bench that can realistically make a difference

 

Spot on. Can't blame Humphrys, take the centre backs out and the fluid pass and move between the seven remaining players is non existent. No striker could work under that.

 

Imagine if it’s not, and that was our best half this game???
