You wont get much better in January. Goals galore at NL/L2 level, unproven at L1 level, struggled at CH level. Worth the risk for me....hopefully Baldwin is in his ear.

 

This would make sense in the context of Alexander saying "we are waiting for things to happen at other clubs before we can finalise deals/targets"

 

We might get an update today it's normally presser day after training on a Wednesday.
Doubt Alexander will change his usual tact and put the cards firmly on the table he doesn't work that way.
I watched the Coventry, Millwall game last night Langstaff had a descent game can't see him leaving the Lions to be honest.

If accurate the he's OOC in June and may be looking to move on.

 

It's a tough one with Langstaff, as in the CH he's not used at all the same way he was in L2/NL.

• At Notts, he averaged 86.2 mins per appearance. He started and rarely was taken off early. Whereas at Millwall he averages 23.4 mins per appearance.
• At Notts, he averaged 3.85 shots per 90 mins, 1.54 of those on target and a goal every 0.14 shots (exact same rate as Salech at Cardiff this season). At Millwall, he averages 1.79 shots per 90 and a goal every 0.07 shots. So he's in shooting positions at around half the rate he was at Notts, and as such his conversion has halved too. From his history, he needs feeding to get the best out of him....... Humphrys has the most shots per 90 in L1 this season, so Langstaff could fill a finishing void perhaps?
• In all his 7,760 mins at Notts, he committed 18 fouls, had 7 interceptions and won 11 tackles, suggesting he stayed up and wasn't asked to do much defensive work..... at Millwall in his 2,107 mins he had committed 25 fouls, 6 interceptions and won 16 tackles. So he's played a quarter of the minutes he managed from his Notts career and already has committed more fouls, similar interceptions and tackled way more. Which tells me he isn't being used the same way he was. He crossed the ball 20 times at Notts and he's already managed 20 crosses at Millwall.

All laid out above, statistically it looks like he has been asked to play deeper and maybe even wider at Millwall, whereas at Notts he was very much a stay up top and finish it, striker. He is logging far more defensive numbers per 90 than he was at Notts and is in half the scoring positions. It could be that at Notts, he was the man, he was the way they win. Whereas at Millwall he is asked to be part of a unit and that might not be his game?

Place him up top with a good feed of chances per game (we are 6th in L1 for xg this season) and he might well find that scoring form again. To be fair, he has had 5 shots on target this season and 2 goals, which suggests from a small sample size that it's still in the locker, somewhere!

 

Blackpool just signed a striker from Burnley, id take a punt on Fletcher given how well he has done this season. Out of contract in a few months...

 

If he's coming then you'll need to bear in mind the quarantine period

 

A few sprays of Febreze and a splash of Brut will mask the smell.

 

Obafemi has played wing pretty much for the last few seasons, although I reckon he wont get much of a run there. Looks like his career is on the edge, at Plymouth he sounds like he was hopeless and was caught in the casinos a fair few times and apparently was on a video or two with that stupid balloon gas stuff. Their fans paint a pic that he is pissing his career away.

Given those data points he would get the same amount of opportunities as Humphrys but would probably convert more.

 

Might be a replacement for Danny Imray who played mainly on the wing for Blackpool.He as gone back to Crystal Palace.

There's a rumour on twitter that Salford are in for him and have offered him 10k a week (someone in the thread reckons he's on 8.5k a week at Millwall).

 

How the hell do people know what he has been offered

 

They don't. It's all speculation.
