Any injury in warm and he is on the bench. Poor form to leave.

Chris Benoit used to specialize in those 'lean over' clotheslines.

    Very effective wrestling move.

There's no evidence of that yet though. I can't imagine Sibley, White and Ashby are costing us much in wages. The incoming Wheatley would be similar.

Equally I imagine we have saved a decent wedge in wages on Cook, Halliday, Pattison and Richards. Add the fees we have received on top of that.

On the face of it, right now it looks like a transfer window of book balancing, we shall see over the next couple of weeks if this is the case.

Whataboutism doesn’t work we are talking about Wright , but if you want to say Bobby was poor , go ahead. He was btw but that doesn’t excuse Wrights performance ?

Neither of them. Somebody who is usually right more often than not. Now of course it could be a wild guess from him as far as I know, just passimg on.

There is a way to go yet in the window, but the business so far to me appears to have reduced the wage bill and also brought a little transfer fee money in as well
Are we not due some from Jake Young as well
I hope it is correct, as I really think with that bit of investment we could obtain a double promotion
This league has no demons for me
Cardiff the best team but if we had performed first half they were beatable

How the f did he score goals at Peterborough. He was the worst finisher I've ever seen at City.

Agree totally. Our best most consistent periods of pressure came when Ashby and White were introduced.
As you say, comfortable on the ball with the ability to play the ball in tight spaces and move into space to receive again. Really liked the look of those two.

Thought the more 'stone waller' was Metcalfe's in the second half. Tripped when surging into the box, definite penalty!

From where I was sat in C block of the main stand it was a really good tackle on Metcalfe. No pen was the right call.

Metcalfe is growing in confidence with every game that passes. Had a fabulous game today. Great signing by the club.

    Real quality.

Great control and dribbling at times, something we haven't seen from him. Could be a real player if we give him the right balance of freedom and discipline.

Whether Cook or Kav attributed to the former leaving, Kav was around the back of the kop taking pics with City fans. Seemed in really good spirits

that statement is very vague though. Sizeable by whose standards? Sizeable compared to what we spent last January? I guess we will find out over the next two weeks.

Not read all this but my thoughts for what it's worth.

Think we probably lost to the champions there. I feared the worst after the earlyish goals (after they weathered a decent opening spell from us). Their passing was so slick and we couldn't live with them.

Credit to the team that they regrouped in the second half and it was a far more even contest. They were hanging on at the end.

It's clear as day what we are sorely lacking, a player just like Humphries but one who actually scores goals instead of reliably fluffing his lines.

Subs made a huge difference particularly Sibley who linked well with Pointon for the period they were on together. Surely he comes in for Tyreik next game, he offered far more.

I thought Power was as poor as I've seen him, loads of misplaced passes and off his game when we needed him right on it.

Another worldie from Metcalfe who goes from strength to strength.

Overall don't feel too despondent other results weren't too bad. Just need a striker who can put chances away
