All you had to do was watch him play to know that he wouldn't fit in a Mark Hughes team. The due diligence on that particular signing was obviously completely missing and never, at any point, did he look even remotely competent in the system we played.

 

I enjoy @Bradford End input but for the life in me "He was a coup at our level" he can't be serious.

 

Ok so Hughes football you know the piss around pass around hardly launch any balls in from different angles so the last thing you want is basically a carthouse a man who feeds on long ball football so why oh why bring him in ????,
It was never about hindsight you could see very early on that he was never gonna work with the way Hughes played football ............

Btw i could bring plenty of other crap signing over Gents watch but he was the highlight .............Matty Derbyshire on an 18 month deal another belter

Still hindsight is a winner but actually doing your research on player that was never gonna fit our style of play is even better
