You really need to factor in the ACL injury here. Those stats are unreal but let's be honest they will not be replicated in League 1. It's sad but time is against Cooky monster now.

 

He will be cup tied for that one though. Played for us at Cheltenham.

Not any more, the regulations have changed so that you can play for 2 teams in the cup in the same season now. Jon Russell played for Barnsley in the earlier rounds but played for Mansfield yesterday.

 

Has to be Bobby I think for me. Best header of a football I've ever seen live. Great memories from my childhood. Didn't think anyone would come close though and who knows how things would have panned out had it not been for the injury.

Sir Bobby without a doubt. He smashed this league.

 

If Cook had stayed fit we'd have won the league. Andy Cook gets in over Kavanagh every day of the week and twice on a match day.

 

All good things come to an end. I will trust the managers judgement - wish Cook had the chance to be at VP one more time; he says it’s his home, Andrew Ellis Cook, come and visit us some time.

 

The answer to that really is we'll never know because he wasn't given a chance this season.

 

100% ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I honestly don't believe he would have expected a new contract this summer but to not get on the bench in recent squads is criminal, I think most realised he was on his way out out of the club but would including him on the bench against the likes of Wigan, Port Vale or Blackpool have been too much to ask, I get it there's not sentient in football and normally I'd agree but maybe once Alexander could have given him a 20/30 minute cameo, especially when we saw the starting line up at Mansfield when many posted before the kick off they thought it was a strange starting 11.

 

Maybe so, but Cook himself might have been anxious not to jeopardise a loan move to Grimsby by risking injury.

 

Out of our budget, for sure. Grant was in paper about Taylor and few others though hinting about loans out. May wasn’t mentioned but has been warming bench, he should have been a promotion cheat code.

 

We don’t know if he would have been on the bench against Rotherham, and given a final run out???
