Not convinced. Wigan deemed him not good enough and he has hardly pulled up trees in the National League. Would he be good enough for a L1 title challenge? Its a huge jump..

 

Who would have thought that signing players in the summer of '25 like Will Swan, Joe Wright, Curtis Tilt, Max Power, Matt Pennington and Ibou Touray would see us 3rd in league 1 at the halfway mark?.. I mean, who are these players??
We need to have some faith in the club that whatever additions come in are for the betterment of the team and our push for the Championship.

That's not fully true. They did deem him good enough but got a good amount of money for him.

He's also one of 4 strikers at York, all on big money. He's 22 with a hell of a lot of football under his belt. There's talk of Hibs and Hearts wanting him for £1m+.

I have watched him a lot and know what he's about. We should have had him last January. I said it then too. It's too late now as he's to expensive.

 

Put him in the Horsfield, Gregory and Vardy file.

We will no doubt bring in a striker maybe two, happy to keep my powder dry until the end of January. There’s seems to be some panicking it maybe this young lad who’s been injured, let’s see even if he came we probably need another as I think Kav will be off soon.

 

Is there any reason why we don't link up with Leeds and their youth/reserve players? We've got a Premiership team right outside our doorstep, which means the player doesn't even need to alter his GPS much, nevermind up sticks to a new home. I know there's a bit of "history", but that rivalry has pretty much died down due to us not playing each other for such a long time. Or is it cos they don't have anyone who is loanable - hard to imagine from a Premiership side.

If he's a Kav or Powell replacement, fair enough he'll tick a box. If he's supposed to be the out and out number 9 we need to get firing up top, then i'm more worried.
