You can guarantee with cold our games will be off. When was the last time we survived a frost related inspection

 

Don't think it'll be foggy but f*#k is it cold. -16° on my drive to the airport at 4 am.

 

How much it cost us when Exeter fooked over with that cup replay ???? Sod em i say .......not Citys fault if other clubs are being badly run.
Would Exeter be doing the same if up against a non league club at home ???

 

Interested to know what measures the club should have put in place to ensure the game went ahead. Maybe you should inform the club for future reference so they know?

Btw didnt we have a gsme off last season or the season before where the main groundsman vlogged the issue we had ?????
Alluding to one part of the ground the Kop was playable but as you walked towards the Bradford end it become more solid due to the lack of sun getting to that part of the ground ??????

I would have thought heated covers would be a no brainer this day and age.. yes, it's expensive but would be tax deductible.

 

I don’t think City “wanted it off” in the slightest. We couldn’t be playing Rotherham at a better time. If anything we wanted it on!

I kind of agree, I just don’t think as a club they do enough to get home games on during the winter. That’s something that will HAVE to improve if we go up.

Looking at the upcoming fixtures for us and Rotherham, I think these are the likely dates:

Tues 10th Feb
Tues 24th Feb
Tues 24th March

 

Out of interest does anyone know how many games we have actually lost to frozen pitches in the past few years? Is it more than the average for our league?

 

There have been a couple of games postponed in the last couple of seasons where the pitch has been playable but the streets and pavements around the ground have been deemed unsafe for fans. We could spend millions on heat tunnels or under pitch heating and still have a game called off.

 

Agree with that. There's nothing more frustrating than a game getting called off when we have glorious sunshine!!

Pitch is frozen, referee has deemed it unplayable so it's off.

Last night's statement was communicating with the fans which is what fans ask for.
