1.) Rupp isn’t actively looking to sell (never was)
2.) Rupp has never valued the club at £10m
3.) Just because someone posts something on social media, doesn’t mean it’s true

“ Worth” is one thing , “value” is another. He will probably want to break even at best £6m with a bit of profit and inflation on top ?

Who I worked for, for many years. They sponsored Southampton when we were in the Premier League. It was all lined up for me to have one of the corporate boxes, as we weren't exactly a big sell to the likes of Hargreaves Lansdowne and St.James's Place, and we played them away on fecking Boxing Day.

 

Not all that brilliant either . They won’t get half their ridiculous valuation imho.

 

Which makes sense in line with our improvement of the squad since David Sharpe arrived. I would be surprised if we didn't bring a couple of permanents in, if we can shift some of those who are clearly out of favour. The cup run and the phenomenal support through 2025 must have given us a bit of flexibility, along with confidence that season tickets should sell well for next season.

 

Do we stick with Rupp, who, to me, has shown to be a good owner without any craziness? Or sell to the yanks where god knows what happens?

 

I know Rupp isn't really a football guy but you would think he would mix in circles where friends or acquaintances or their friends or acquaintances had interests in football and would be prime for a little investment in the English pyramid.
Just wondering.

 

Personally I don't think there's a club buy out in the offing at this moment in time.
The new investors in my opinion are dipping their toes in the water regarding branding on apparel and significant advertising around the ground any further developments may or may not take place but don't be surprised to see the installation of more electronic advertising boards pitch side in the near future.

 

So, 1 and 2 may not be true then?

 

Plus we are getting 20k at higher ticket prices. Turnover must be far better which is crucial when assessing value

True but Seattle won as a massively unfancied side. I'd take that

 

I'll be honest I don't want to be a small cog in an organisation that has multiple club ownership. I know it seems to be the norm these days but it's something I'm personally not a fan of.
