He tells us what he did and who he played for in the vid. Working from memory in his late teens he gave up football for full time work in a quarry (?) Then went amateur .

So assuming we stick with a back-3
Tilt would be in the middle. Wright is favoured on the right.

That leaves Byrne and Baldwin, who also favour the right side, but can also play in the middle. It does make me question Baldwin’s place in the team as both signings won’t have come here to sit on the bench. I’m not sure about Wright but Tilt is known to be a more traditional defender than a ball playing one

and leaves us with no cover at all for the left. Assuming Kelly signs, we will most likely still be looking for another starting CB

    Hi everyone

Really appreciate the link to my blog article being posted on here as it was written with an eye on covering what the Bradford fanbase I would be wanting to know about their new signing.

If there’s anything else you’d like to know about Tilt’s performances and playing style over the last few years just let me know and I’ll try to shed some light on it.

Brilliant that we have a sighning in Tilt, that the vast majority were wrong for seeing it as 'underwhelming'

It goes to show that the management do know more than us ;)

Mind you I wasn't daft enough to write anything negative about him, as I don't want him coming around to my house. Imagine that knocking on your door at 1am!!

Honours goes to @vin weasel@vin weasel, @Park bantam@Park bantam and one or two other for not been negative but hats off to @Kopendin1964@Kopendin1964 for summing up perfectly what Tilt is about (see page 4, I think)

I must admit, I've not doubted many signings since Gent and then Sharpe arrived - but do not doubt any now. We have a very good set up - long may it last!!

    Great piece, I've just read.

And fair play to GA and the team, as yet again they've recognised the strength of a CB playing in a back three - Pennington is another, who struggled in Bruce's back two, having been fine in the the three. Because Tilt has more cover around hi, it arguably allows him to be even more aggressive, i.e. if he slips up there are more defenders to cover him.

Great signing. I've been waiting for him to be terrible, but apart from Donny away (who we always play terrible against) he's been a minimum of 7 every match.

Thank you for the compliment @banbrotam@banbrotam

I knew exactly how he plays having studied him at length when playing for Salford, and especially against the likes of Cookie.

A warrior, a dirty bugger, who looks at the man not the ball, and blocks them off. He is quite canny at getting between the ball and the forward and at the slightest touch, going down and winning free kicks.

I must admit I couldn’t understand his signing at first, but you can see what he brings to the team. Being an ex striker myself, you wouldn’t really want to play against him very often and can see he has this effect against other strikers. Bloxham and Fletcher hardly had a kick on Sunday. The worry is when the ball is played round the back of him as we saw when Fletcher scored.

Just don’t let them run at him with pace and he will help keep more clean sheets than concede them.

Since we are patting ourselves on the back @banbrotam@banbrotam I don’t think my comments hold up too badly. He’s done far better performance wise than I expected but as he’s only played 11 games of which a couple were off the bench, then I do think his experience in the changing room has been just as important.

Imagine completely lauding every signing for years then lambasting others for being negative when one proves them wrong?

I imagine while you're on that high horse we just gloss over my favourite banbrotam moment when you were similarly lambasting the whole forum as negative after the 4 1 win at Newport and particularly bigging up our two young loan "stars" Tulloch and Afoka?

I don’t mind admitting i was skeptical of his signing. At his age, from League 2, it seemed an odd one. but once we got playing it soon became obvious that he was a big nasty bastard that took few prisoners and he starts if he’s fit.

Lets face it, 99% of fanbases in L1 would have questioned this signing, coming out of L2 at his age and he didn't exactly impress weekly at Salford.

But he's looked a monster so far and looks to suit the GA system perfectly.

Ooh!! You're so vindictive. Did you notice I was also saying that I got it wrong? Or just too eager too eager to fire back on your Windows 6?

I've been fairly easy on you, I remember defending you the other day. It's not our fault you take these things too seriously and so are still vexed after slating the two defenders who've arguably been playing the best.

Correct!! You were the "others" I thought of.

And I am not patting myself on the back. I thought what 90% of fans did 'what the hell of we signed him for'. LOL!!

Go easy on @NorthernMonkey@NorthernMonkey. Think he’s still recovering from that Aden Baldwin thunderbolt at Blackpool!

It was a superb crossfield ball back to Power until that bloody netting got in the way.
