Probably because he isn't a wing back where he was played, but an out and out winger. It sounds familiar.

Swann's goal was a beauty. Lovely balance to skip past their defender and a tidy finish that was much harder than it looked. He must've been feeling the pressure to put that away and his composure was excellent. Really chuffed for him.

Played out of position which won't have helped, but he also seems to have lost a yard of pace since his ACL injury. That said, he's done well for Blackpool in their cup games scoring 4 goals in 5 games.

been saying for weeks swan is being treated quite bad giving him a few minutes here and there
it takes minutes to get into a game. played his heart out today it showed.
his none stop running and harassing every player in his path.
lovely goal proves he has moor ability than some fans give credit.
p,s yes watched all the game vast improvement all round.

Surprised by the criticism for Tyriek Wright based on today. Thought he had a solid game, defended well and offered an outlet going forward. I think he and Touray link up well regardless which position either play. Forum is all about debate and opinion so respect people’s POV on T. Wright, but for me he’s having a decent season.

Sorry matey but this is just plain wrong

“ Wright is just as comfortable in RWB and the right of a front three.”

Wright is left footed and plays either LEFT wing back or LEFT side of a front three or Left side of a three man middle ..

To my knowledge and recollection he’s played on the right ONCE in his time at VP and that was at Mansfield on New Year’s Day. He was that “ comfortable “ it lasted 45 minutes. Once you make that type of observation …. The rest is irrelevant to me .

Spot on , but we shouldn’t be critical this term just because of what they did last season? It’s a division higher and like it or not a number of players individually have been found out.

A lot of people are writing “Swann”.

    It’s SWAN.

Absolutely right . I would have expected the last line defender to bring him down/ obstruct rather than move out of the way of Swans run?

Great observation , that is his forte but we don’t play with wingers rather he’s been shoehorned into covering left wing back which , despite the yards he puts in makes him far less effective .

They are on an overall terrible run of 6 losses in a row in the league, their aggregate score in them 6 games is 2-15. Also they have no wins in 9 with their last league win a 3-0 win against Lincoln in early November.
Looking at the fixtures the early games are Luton vs Stevenage and Stockport vs Huddersfield so it will be interesting to see what the table looks like going into our game

I remember posters like him trusting all the failed managers decisions much more than anyone on a forum and of course, whilst it's true they are professionals and have much more knowledge than the average fan, it doesn't mean that they don't make mistakes and get decisions wrong.

Posts like that are just designed to shut down discussion and are best ignored.

Aye, 40 games in the division above for Gillead as his team finished comfortably dead last and a huge 14 points from safety.

Then, in the summer he was moved on to a non league club.

"Shows what some posters know" eh? :joy::joy:

Sound's like Gillieads loan expires next week and he wont have it extended at Carlisle too

From 20:50 Neville briefly mentions GA.

Not sure where to post this but nice to see GA getting the recognition he deserves.

I thought he'd do OK at that level tbh and he's starting a lot of games for them so I'm assuming they must be thinking they can upgrade in the window.

He's not impressed the fans up there so far from their feedback, I think Huntington mentioned it. Sounded like it's the deal they want to change, I guess they are paying a lot of his deal and need to drop the rate? But if they didn't extend they wouldn't be too hurt.

They would have a job shutting me down Dave..lol! I think most of us recognise the line up , forced or otherwise at the Stags was horrendous ?
