That was the scariest journey home I’ve had, the roads were just sheet ice.

 

Never been as cold at a football match as I was at the Arsenal game.Was on the front row of the upper tier in the Dallas stand.

 

thought theyd have had undersoil heating from their prem days

 

I dont mind dry cold matches such as the Arsenal one, but that Walsall match was horrendous conditions. I stood up on lower kop most of the match to give me a chance of surviving!

The wettest I have been was a match at Odsal tip, I think it was against Wimbledon

 

We are quite protected at the back of Midland Road but even then the wind swirled the rain around and I got soaked. I remember they played Gimme Shelter at half time. Very appropriate.

 

Abandoned part way through match (think it was this match) as the rain creeped across the speedway track and onto and across the pitch from the side of the ground where the changing rooms were.

 

Need a win today with the way the rest of Jan looks on paper. Last 6 games away to Blackpool its 1 win and 5 defeats, need to get one back today!

 

The FA Cup game at Oldham in 1986 remains the coldest for me. Brutal.

 

Wettest has to be at Withdean when we ended Brightons 13 game losing run by losing 2-3.
Rained non stop all game on an open stand, horrendous.

 

It been freezing in East Anglia for days now and even snowed for a short period yesterday . Ground is rock hard with freezing wind coming down the North Sea , no doubt from Scandinavia . The Irish Sea side of the country is nothing like until South Wales .

As long as the players don’t stand shivering in short sleeved shirts whilst they had a minutes silence for everyone in Mansfield who died in 2025 ? Funny how the opponents all had tracksuit jackets on ?

A miserable day with the most entertaining part of the game being the Spiderman toy that was thrown around the stand with the chants of “we want Spiderman, oh we want Spiderman!”

 

Just about to post exactly this one - soaked all match and the bloody scaffolding stand must have been 200m from the far goal - could t see a thing

 

Looks like South Yorkshire got hit with the cold weather Sheffield United game also postponed I would have thought they would have had under soil heating with their recent time in the Premiership.

 

Or at least on the bench.

While we're winning, the questions are easier for Alexander to answer.

I’m usually an optimist with City but I don’t have a good feeling about this one.
We look bereft of attacking ideas at the moment. That wasn’t so bad when the defence was keeping clean sheets but the back three against Mansfield was horrible.
I’d like to see GA play Wright, Tilt & Touray at the back with Tyreik at LWB, Humphries on the left and Swan starting in the middle. But I don’t think he will.
