Another plus is that whatever style a team playa the majority of the time we can overcome it ...........must be a reet headache for oppo managers :)

Yet they walked off into the night a beaten side :) i would argue these shitehouse tactics actually plays right into our hands ..............if every team we played adopted them tactics then i would really fancy us to win it

at the risk of serious injury? There's winning and then there's losing when when you've won.
Fair enough if a team comes at us with spoiling tactics and we can hold our own but last nights elbows and back heels could have taken a couple of defenders out for a few games.

That's harsh to be fair. Stockley had no idea where Wright was when he stood on him.

The elbow though, I'd suggest he was pretty lucky to get just the yellow.

I also don't know how he got away with rugby tackling Wright at every corner in the first half

Stockley reminded me of John Hartson 25 years ago. You could see how fired up he was before the game started and he was off before 15 mins. Stockley was so fired up, he wasn't really in control.

Yes we can say the foot/ face was an accident , however the grappling that led to it wasn’t. However I said it in game in the first half , Stockley elbowed both Wright and Kelly clearly seen on the TV from different angles . Add to that a flailing arm which was also deliberate at worst or careless at best. We all recognise centre forwards are there to challenge and unsettle defenders but he was a thuggish coward last night. Notice the player he stayed away from and didn’t get involved with ?
    Demonic eyes Curtis?

Stockley had just stepped over him, how could he not know he was there?.. the back heel looked like an unforced extra movement to me.

Yet another piss poor offical but when the PL refs continue to fook up even with technology you wonder why we get so much crap at our level.
I actually think some of the twats enjoy the attention of getting it wrong

Curtis absolutely flattened him at one point. Ran straight through the back of him, went down with a right thud lol

why do some fans keep saying don't mind the way we play as long as we win.
if we carry on like it we will start to get hammered very soon.
playing good attacking football like we did the first six games
is the way we should be looking to achieve.
I myself believe play offs maybe. top 10 probable.

Yep, I cannot see anyone trying that nonsense with our Curtis. Wonder if even Billy Whitehurst would mess?
As I said previously, we Tilt this City on rock n roll.
I'm old school and enjoy a tough hard centre half like a Baresi as much as a cultured one like Bobby Moore

I've said it before, coming off the back of an intense pre-season and 100 mph high press in the opening games has taken it's toll on our aging squad. The intensity has diminished dramatically and if GA is to continue with the same tactics we need younger, fresher blood to come in in January. A couple of prem/champ U21 loans, an established striker and a mobile midfielder is required.

In the comments section below yesterday's match report on the BBC website some Vale supporters describe City as a team of divers!

On OneValeFan forum at least one valiant acknowledged Stockley's elbowing.

Perhaps they are a bit miffed at how the season is turning out. Apparently a lot of Vale supporters were deriding our recruitments and forecasting our relegation.
