    He was 'anticipating contact'.

The lad was nowhere near him. His first thought there should be to square it or shoot

For me, Swan is the forward who most suits this system as he looks to run on beyond the defence and to turn them, the others come close to the midfield to get the ball so we end up being too compressed all the time and its easier for the opposition to defend against us. He's also a pest at pressing and never gives defenders a free pass

    We need a second here.

How are we going to get it?

Neufville on for Halliday maybe? Need a bit more threat on the right side. Halliday has been solid but more clumsy in attacking areas. Nefville's pace may be what we need.

Alternatively, Tyreik could just bl00dy sh00t!!

Awful defending but I think we still win this. They look very average

Baldwin completely oblivious to someone running off him. Clueless defending but never mind, he'll hit a 40 yard pass out for a throw in or summat.

They've looked very much like us - workmanlike. If they are average then we've been the same.

Kelly ball watching again. Tilt should be starting.

Gary Jones: “Humphrys didn’t call for it” as the camera shows him holding his hands out shouting for a penalty lol

We seem to have regressed back to how we were playing at about this time last season - their keeper is doing next to nothing. Nowhere near enough shots on goal.

Metcalfe must be like Ronaldinho in training from these corners. We keep laying it off for him to shoot but he needs to do better

Finally, an excellent corner delivered into the box.

    Super header from Wright.

Better, if not great, in the second-half.

    Important 3 points.

T.Wright coming on seemed to give us more impetus and drive. Humphrys had a good game.

What a year it's been at VP.

Wigan helped us a lot today and should have been down to eight men but a win is a win. We are back in good form and hanging at the top of the league.

A few additions (with some outgoings) in January, freshen things up and let’s see where it takes us!
