Player Liason Manager, remember him working in the 1911 bar.

Club Secretary aka Mrs. Rahic with no apparent relevant experience.

Edin himself as DOF and COO as we don’t have either position and I’m sure Edin says yes to Edin!

Sorry should have added Accountant number 4 or 5 as otherwise she/he will join their forerunners.

Kit Man number 3 or 4 as otherwise she/he will join their predecessors.

Can I ask what Wendy’s previous role was before being player liaison officer? Didn’t she used to sort meals out after training?

Previous club secretary. Can you name them and what was their previous experience in the role.

Mason - what was his previous Football COO experience?

    I
    Thanks for asking,

Last two Club Secretaries had football backgrounds at both Leeds and I believe Manchester City (wetherby whaler gave the background recently in a good post and he should know).

I don’t know Wendy’s but sure you can ask but I would say the incumbent redefines the term yes man.

Believe James Mason had a football sports news background.

I just find it so bizarre than the Edin apologists want anyone who is critical to prove black is black.

I would be happy for David Baldwin or Roger Owen to give their opinion.

One question to yourself, what would you consider a suitable Club Secretary package for someone with no experience and what would you consider to be an appropriate working week balanced to the package?

I haven’t a clue what a club secretary should get paid and I don’t know what a working week would look like. Obviously you want me to name a figure so you can state she is on more than that , so tomplay your game I would go for about £50k a year working on the theory that there was a job advertised for an assistant club secretary at a club for around £30k.

Before Mrs Rahic Edin recruited the lady from a Man City but she didn’t like the travel and left after a few weeks. The previous lady, thenone from Leeds, came from their ticket office so no club secretarial experience.

As for Wendy she used to prep the players meals before being liaison officer.

And yes Mason worked for the BBC, so no experience of running a football club.

I only asked as people keep going on about people getting jobs with no rlelevant experience but if you look back the previous people employed by the previous owners had the same lack of experience but they all became good at their jobs.

Not sure about your comment about wanting it proving black is black, I was more looking to see if you knew that what you were asking the current owners to do has never been done before by the club.

1 - he has said this before

2 - the problem is Edin, you say its gone wrong last few months, NO, ITS GONE WRONG WHEN YOU DIDNT BACK STUART! yet you bring in players for an inexperienced kids coach.... so the problem isnt just this season

3 - the underlying problem and bigger picture is that you EDIN think mid table mediocrity and safe from relegation is success as long as you are developing youth to sell on, NO EDIN, THIS IS NOT SUCCESS!!

WE DON'T WANT TO BE A FEEDER CLUB!!

once you come out and say that we are not gonna be, and that you want promotion out of this league, then we will start to accept your apology,

right now, we are not interested in these hollow words...

when a team is 2-0 up with only 5 mins left in a match and loses 3-2 there is only one reason for this, inexperienced players! you have filled our entire squad with kids, that you want to develop and sell on for profit! WE DONT WANT THIS AND THIS IS NOT SUCCESS TO US!!!!!!

UNTIL YOU CHANGE THAT WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOU BEING AT THIS CLUB

It's something, at least a step in the right direction, but for me it's not enough to get me back onto the fence, let alone become a supporter. My view is I'll admit somewhat coloured by the list of past statements which have turned out to be not quite in touch with future actions/behaviours...

Also, a loss of momentum (“I want to start by saying to you, our loyal supporters and partners, I am truly sorry for some of the decisions I have made - which have resulted in a loss of momentum." ) seems almost a minor setback; we have not only lost our forward momentum, but have been going backwards at an ever increasing rate. We actually have to hope that Hopkin can bring about another loss of momentum!

And the following: "I understand some of our supporters are hurting at the moment and so am I. I feel responsible and accept I am open and perhaps deserving of some of the criticism which has come my way." seems rather weaselly, in particular the notion that he "perhaps" deserves "some" of the criticism.

Bah! At what age does one qualify for grumpy old geezer status? I think I'm getting there... I wish City would get back in the box labelled "entertainment/enjoyment" !

    Fair comment.

We also have to be realistic, some of these roles are not that well paid and there will be a limited number of people with relevant experience. I've no issue with the approach of looking for the right skill sets and people growing into roles.

However, somewhere in this you need people with the experience of running a football club. It appears that is in short supply in the club at the moment, and offers of help for the owner are being ignored.

Rahic needs to understand his apology is a start, and also the appointment of DH, but there is no quick resolution of the mess we are in. As ppl have mentioned this rolling backwards that has happened to our club came about when R&R arrived. Rahic said in this statement

“We are trying to create a sustainable future for Bradford City. We are developing the club, so it is set up in the best way for the future. Sometimes this can result in people walking away or deciding the time is right to move on. Equally, it can be the case that the club requires change in certain areas and so a decision is taken for one reason or another.

What does all this mean in practice? I understand that we need to be sustainable, but how are they doing this? What things need to change? In my view this has been far too drastic if the staff turnover is so high. You lose experience and that can and does not only lose momentum, but you start to roll backwards. When you are making changes that result in key ppl leaving the club, you have to stop and take stock. Plus I would like to see a plan of some sort that has Achievable goals, in a timescale that is achievable that takes ppl with you and doesn’t alienate ppl to the point they have to leave. You always lose a couple, but this level of staff turnover smacks of ruthless plans being driven no matter what the costs.

If the reason for your existence ie playing competitive football is completely compromised by massive changes then your plan is not working. It’s as simple as that, and you cannot keep going. Now this is a crucial time, in the next 2/3 weeks and it really is as tight as that in my view, we have to stop rolling backwards, then hopefully we can start to move forward again. Any more mistakes, sackings, reports of bullying, or reports of interference will result in the apologies being binned, and no amount of apologising will turn the fans view that these owners should leave. Over to you Mr Rahic and Mr Rupp.

I'm very much in the 'Too little too late' camp. This isn't just about the MC fiasco. It's about the catastrophic mismanagement of our great football club over the past 2 years!

I'm also naturally suspicious of the timing of this. Just prior to our first home game for a couple of weeks, amid rumours of the start of possible fan protests and just after stories have appeared in the national press.

We've heard lots from him over the past year and I for one don't trust a word that comes out of his mouth.

I would be delighted to post on here in a couple of months time and state that Edin has proved most of us wrong......but I'm not holding my breath.

He said at the interview with Tom & Dom if you werent with the plan leave, James Mason and others have gone so Id say everyone who works within the club is right behind his dream.

Read between the lines of this 'apology', he's in denial.
Perhaps this and that !!.... only thing he's openly said sorry for is the appointment of Collins.
Of course a few waverers are back on side for a few games, until we're bottom of table end of October, we'll get fudged apology number four then.
clap away boys clap away, as the defeatist's tell us there's nothing we can do .
Many of us have been through more shit with this club than most fans put together at any other.
Just watch what we can and cant do ....

Hmm. Not sure what I think of this. I want to like him and I want to support him but that’s clouded my judgement a few times now and ultimately left me even more angry than I was previously.

The thing is the guy is a pathological liar, it’s been proved so many times now. On balance this is probably no more than a calculated statement aimed at heading off any protests at this Saturdays game. If he’d added something like “I’ve realised that my ideas for the club are not compatible with how football works in England so I’m going to appoint people in key positions with the right expertise then take a back seat and let them get on with it”, then I’d have been 100% behind him.

I won’t give him the benefit of the doubt but he has maybe bought himself a small amount of slack from me. Actions speak louder than words though so we’ll see what happens next!

I think Hopkin will turn our form around mate, its one of the few things he's got right IMO, as I posted he may have a couple of "free agents" on his radar that will add experiance to this team then the big test is Januarys transfer window.
He is here for 2 years he will be looking at players who can improve the squad the way he wants to play the game, good managers sign players who can strengthen the squad over a period of time (Parky being a great example) rather than a quick fix, although that might be a requirement short term.

Not much I can add to what's already been said. For me it's all too vague and leaves too many questions unanswered. It is reminiscent of the Richmond '6 weeks of madness' crocodile tears speech which might have been more plausible if he hadn't taken so much money out for himself.
