12 goals and 3 assists this season so far.
In form so if he joined and scored say 10 goals to get us up, it would be worth it surely.

Experienced and having a great season. 1 in 3 striker at L1 level, better than anything we have.

Wouldnt cost too much either - wont be much better available in Jnauary. That said, just an Insta rumour.

 

I'd take him over Jatta, who keeps getting mentioned on here, not even close. Fletcher is a decent player who's spent most of his career at a higher level.

I was wondering if we'd do any leg work in January towards tying up any of our own OOC players in the summer or risk running until the end of the season however if the list below is correct i dont foresee many offers anyway.

Halliday, Kavanagh, Baldwin, T Wright, Pattison, Kelly, Hilton, Richards, Sarcevic, Byrne and Cook all see their contracts up this summer.

You might throw another year at Sarcevic given he'd be more than useful to have around again in L1, but none of the others id' particularly miss, Cookie apart obviously.

 

Stephen Humphrys was the player chosen for today's press conference. Jamie grilled him about playing on the left , his role as a central striker and lack of goals. It was interesting to hear his own views on the subject.

Pretty level headed response to the left/centre 'controversy'. I hope he embraces the position a bit more, puts a smile on his face and pass the fecking ball!

 

He's a player that I've kept a loose watch on in his career just because of where he was born and I'm not sure he would be a good fit for us. When he was at Middlesbrough often their fans would say he was lazy and Sheffield Wednesday fans weren't impressed by him. He's only 1 off matching his career best goal return when he got 13 in a season for Middlesbrough. In his career he's got to double figures in the league either 2 or 3 times, even this season until Ian Evatt joined in late October he was only on 3 goals it's only since Evatt has come in that he's been getting the goals this season. When he first joined Blackpool their fans weren't that impressed by him then he hit some form at the end of last season with something like 9 in the last half of the season after only 2 in the first half.

At 30 I think it would be a gamble to bring him in and hoping he has one of his purple patches. Also I'm not sure Blackpool will let him go cheap as he will be massive for their chances of staying up so it could take a decent fee for a 30 year old with 6 months left on this contract.

 

“ i’m a left winger but because we’re winning it doesn’t really matter” is more or less what he’s saying.

It’s clear as day watching him play that he’s a wide-man who’s been shoehorned up front. Wonder how he’d get on at LWB?
