I haven't yet read the reaction to his statement on here but first impression is, great you acknowledge mistakes, thank you for your apology.

But.....I don't hear what those mistakes are and what is going to happen to redress them.

ATM it feels a bit like the "we've learned lessons" statement from a while back.

Until I hear what the lessons learned are, and see the tangible signs of a change of approach, I am not giving this huge credence but I do live in hope.

 

"This year was not as successful as we originally planned. But ultimately, it’s our responsibility and therefore please take the apologies of Edin and me.

A very welcome statement from.Mr Rahic.

He genuinely acknowledges the big mistake in appointing Collins and Drury, and has taken full responsibility for the dreadful start to the season. I will give him the benefit of doubt and trust that he is sincere.

Let's hope that he leaves all the footballing matters to Hopkin and whoever he ends up confirming has his assistant and coaching staff and that he sees the sense in replacing James Mason as the bridge between Hopkin and Rahic

Hopefully, this weekend we see a turnaround in results and performance and the slow road to recovering the trust of all supporters had begun.

That should have been included in his statement, I will not interfere with football matters that is solely down to David Hopkin and his backroom staff, to me that would be a statement that would go a long way in trying to convince me, we'll get our first test come January.

 

Credit for actually coming out and apologising however for me personally it’s far too little too late. Would like to think he’s finally woken up and smelt the coffee & realised how much damage he has caused however given his track record it’s got PR exercise written all over it.

I accept his apology but the loss of momentum has been happening for a while now, not just this season.

No mention of being the architect of the summer signings who have made the team and squad look weaker than before.

10 out of 11 new starters on opening day, never seen this even when City came out of Admin twice before.

Hopkin needs backing as it will be a tough ask to turn our fortunes around.

Hopkin wants a high tempo pressing game, lord i hope the players stay fit for this.

Back him now edin but remember to back him in january to undo some of the self inflicted harm.

It’s actually an interesting suggestion, can the buy out price be based on how much he has invested in staggered payments less how much has been taken out by him and Mrs Rahic?

 

I'm happy to change my opinion Haworth, after all I was pro R and R until the turn of year.

My opinion will only change when I know what lessons have been learned by a change in behaviour.

I agree. I know lots of leaders who never accept blame or say sorry. Doesn’t change things but that takes balls

 

No apology or regret about sacking Stuart and no recognition that he failed to provide him with the necessary players in the January transfer window.
