Have to say that was a great goal, sometimes you just have to give credit. We’d be creaming ourselves scoring one like that. The damage was done first half. Lapslie has been the worst player on the pitch by some distance.

 

You can make anyone look a mug by doing what we're doing to our players.

 

They should both have been protected from the outset. Both played almost all the games. I personally hate this cup with a passion so not fussed in the slightest that we are going out, but the manner of defeat and the likely loss of another centre half is a big concern.

 

Any news on why Halliday, Kelly and Kavanagh were omitted from the squad or is it the simple reason they are all shite?

A demoralising night against a far from full strength Bolton team. Looked totally off pace, limited in ideas, poor passing, odd team selection and a couple of injuries. We’ve had a very decent start to the season but I fear we are fading. Need a few new faces in January.

Glass defenders yet again and we are toothless - slightly worrying run we are on and some of our players are well and truly being found out. We don't seem to be quite as spirited as we were which worries me as much as anything. Let's just manager and recruitment are seeing this

 

I think Metcalfe will become a very good player for us.

 

To be honest, I was expecting more matches like this, this season. Surprised it's taken so long.
