Yep, Our midfield was also caught out a number of times on Saturday against Exeter which is worrying.

 

Think I’d be the most effective out there tbh Kev, we’ve created next to nothing and what’s with all the crosses unable to get off the floor? As for Leigh, other than one good pass he may as well have stayed at home.

 

We won’t be seeing him angain anytime soon. Despite the injury he’s not a patch on Touray.

It looks like we've gone 4231 with Lapslie pushing up to right wing,

 

Power giving Byrne pelters for not heading the ball to him when in space

 

and not even a hot one either

 

its not the strikers at fault its the team in general we cant get the ball anywhere near the box
cook will struggle unless we bring swan on to help him out.

 

I keep hearing this, but some of our best available players are the same ones we had last season when we were in League 2 (Pointon, Saracevic, Baldwin, Cook and a couple of others). Are our League 1 signings that much better? Not really, for the most part they’re about on par.

We can blame our “league 2” squad all we like but our transfer business this summer was hardly inspiring.

 

Don't really know what it is about Humphrys. If it's that he's been unwell or struggling with fitness or confidence but for whatever reason, it isn't working for him.

Not great if Wright is injured, hopefully it is just a twisted ankle and nothing ligament related with Pennington also out long term and Tilt not back yet.
What it should mean is Baldwin can play in the middle and hopefully that will help us with the build up play that we've missed for the last few weeks.

GA is trying to replace Cook with Humphreys AND it doesn't work. And won't work. A bloody blind man can see that!
