We’re missing a midfield partner for Power as none of the current options seem to be cutting it. Something to consider for January.

I also wonder if we need to call time on Cook. Appreciate he’s still working his way back but he looks so far off it, I’m starting to wonder if he’s ever going to be capable at this level. We look far worse every time he comes on. His reactions are slow, first touch poor, just looks a bit lost.

 

Made very heavy weather of that, if they had a finisher or Walker wasn't on his toes we'd have lost quite easily.

Controversial maybe judging by the comments on here, but thought we looked far better with him on the pitch than when Cook came on who did naff all. I know I’ll get my helmet on and head for the bunker.

 

I'd look at moving Cook on for the wages he's on. Love the guy but if he's not going to be our main man up front then cash in to a L2 side

Could have been 2-2 but its three points if you win by one goal or six so let's take the points and on to the next.

 

I think when Cook came on we were trying not to concede, we were just whacking the ball anywhere.

Humphrys is a totally different type of player to Cook
Everybody’s gripe with Humphrys is his lack of awareness about what’s on around him.
We got in to some half decent positions but he seems to switch off for a split second and the chance is gone.

We need to follow this result up with a win at Plymouth, after they got tanked at home 3 - 0 by Northampton.

We did somewhat, but it did come to Cook a number of times and I don’t know if his timing is just off but every header went to an Exeter player. Sadly since his return nothing seems to be sticking. Need a new striker for me in January regardless of who it’s for.

 

Spot on, I’m just hoping it can give us a bit of confidence and momentum which are huge in football and hopefully the performances improve again.

 

Yeah for a little guy the ball seemed to stick no matter what height it was and quite mobile but no killer touch

 

Perhaps why he does better wider because centrally its really obvious his decision making and "team play" isnt that good. Wider, he has a bit more licence to go alone. Maybe wrong, just a thought.

 

For me,the biggest problem has been the poor form of Pattison,not in the game at all today,and hooked at half time.The midfield really needs someone experienced to support Power,it's getting too easy for opponents to take control of midfield at the moment.

Humphrys is a better all round player. Just a little greedy sometimes (or just tunnel vision)
