Well it's starting to look lik McCann has Alexanders number.

 

Didn't want a home tie in the next round anyway.

As it currently stands it's a trip to Bolton, Harrogate, Fleetwood or Crewe in the next round.

 

I know it’s the cup but 8 without a win. Some of these players are looking bang average and unfit.

 

Awful second half, Doncaster bring on some first steamers and we look in trouble.

 

Byrne really is absolute dog shit.

 

Until we stop with all the constant chopping and changing, we'll see more of this type of performance. I'm not blaming the players too much, but in one week and out the next can't help build confidence or understanding within the team. Is Alexander being too clever for his own good?

 

I am an advocate of not changing a team unless forced to,and this is why !!

Grant McCann is rapidly becoming my least favourite fat person, now that Fatty Evans isn't quite so fat.

 

Half of our squad are not good enough for League 1, not a promotion push anyway.

the second half has been a disgrace but lets focus on the first half. McIntyre, Richards, Pattison and Wright should all start at Bolton

 

Lots of changes are always made in this competition especially in the last round of games when often games have nothing or very little riding on them, Doncaster made 11 changes and even started 2 players who are out on loan.
In the league most changes are enforced either due to injury or fitness.

 

I worried about this match tonight.

We have a poor recent record against Doncaster. We are on a poor run. Alexander was always going tk switch things up. Always created the possibility that we'd continue with the poor run.

What's been interesting for me is that the first half was ok but it was pretty much two league two teams. Second half, Doncaster brought on more quality, we didn't or don't have it and they stepped up in performance.

We really needed a win but got what we deserved really.

 

Cheltenham loss. We'll put it right next game. Home to Burton, lose. We'll put it right on Tuesday. Lose to Doncaster. Next game Bolton away! Prediction?

Swan , Humphries not exactly firing and we are pining our hopes now on a 35 year old, who has just come back from a major and often career ending injury
