Oh dear! More chaos on the concourses. What can possibly go wrong?

 

Worth a go.

I thought by self service it would be a quick pour situation rather than the customer touching the lever as it were.

If if doesn't speed it up, I'm not sure the rationale.

 

Never really seen any chaos at VP concourse other then the massive queues at half time.
I do sit top tier kop though. Usually quite timid in yhe concourse

 

Each to their own but I'm afraid I won't be touching any self pour handle that could be used by a number of people.
The toilets at Valley Parade leave a lot to be desired in hand hygiene for starters,can you imagine the germs on the pump handles.
Germs transfer on contact it's a non starter as far as I'm concerned.

 

On an individual basis it won't speed things up much, if at all, but what it does do is increases capacity and outlets to serve people which should speed up the queues especially if you only want a pint as the only people in the queue will be wanting a pint. In this system a lever is used instead of a button as the pump should cut out after the amount of drink paid for it poured, by doing that it also reduces the waste from overfilling it.

Aside from that for the club it helps as it gets people served quicker without the need for hiring loads of extra staff. Also if it's the system I think it is then it has a lot of live tracking in it so they can see how many drinks have been bought and which drinks. They can also see then barrels are getting low and need replacing.

When I say chaos I mean the long queues and lack of space combined with the occasional times the tills are down.
There really is no room for self service beer kiosks in the upper kop.

 

Like all self serve it will help cut costs by reducing the biggest overhead which will be staffing costs. Not sure how it works with checking how old you are? Do you have to scan some ID to show you are 18?

 

Will the price decrease as the customer is serving their self.

 

Staff will be there manning it. Typically, they hold the cups and hand them out

 

Wouldn’t it have been better to have pre-poured pints to speed things up? That or the quick pour pumps. Won’t knock the club for trying though.

 

So what’s the point.?
These things only work inside pubs where groups of people are sat at a table

 

Seem to remember them doing that year's ago

 

So it isn't the machines and layout as shown on the video that is a how to use the machines where it shows you where to get your plastic cups from the dispensers then?
