A few decisions to be made about the left if Bobby is out? Does Touray continue in the back three?

 

I know Alexander has said he wants Humphrys in the middle but this is a situation that was unplanned so id be going Humphrys, Swan, Sarcevic across the front.

 

Humphrys pretty much played there against Everton in spells. Id say give him a whirl....

If Pointon is out it could give us a chance to start in the 3412 formation which could give us a bit extra protection in the middle with Barnsley playing a 4231. We've seen a few times that we can be vulnerable against team who have a no 10 in between the lines once they beat our first line of the press as we tend to end up with just CM against 2 or 3.

Ideally I'd like to see Touray moved back to the LWB as I think McIntyre could be really good in the LCB role and it would free T. Wright to play LW but for that to happen we'd need to play J. Wright who's not looked great recently and I'm not sure I'd want him up against Keillor-Dunn.

 

Then, when he scores 6 in 6 games everyone will say that they were right all along!

I really hope Pennington is back today(but suspect he wont after not featuring at all Tuesday)

If not just because with Touray they are easily our most consistent defenders but the odd below par performance from Neufville has coincided with his absence.
Josh hasn’t been poor by any means but I just wonder if he was a bit reluctant to bomb forward like normal knowing that Byrne was behind him.

 

He will play Wright LW or Kav at a push (or if not enough CBs for Touray to move back up to LWB) - GA will only play Humphrys in the LW role if there's an injury crisis because

1) GA doesn't see him as a left winger
2) He isn't a left winger

 

He is a right winger, but that's a different issue! haha

 

Forgot that McGoldrick plays for them. Don’t know how he’s been doing, but he can be very dangerous and scores goals, (as we know).
