Recommended New TV/Films

I must admit that I never read the political posts, a bit like I ignore loud mouthed individuals in the pub who usually talk absolute bollocks about the subject.
I have my own opinions about most things but keep them to myself and have no desire to inflict them on anybody else.

It's a bit like the people who put crap (in my opinion) music on a jukebox and inflict their tastes on everyone.
Bantamtalk is a mainly a football forum and I'm happy for it to stay that way.

 

Just as @Tony Wilkinson posted then, there are threads I rarely read or contribute to but I wouldn't request them closing.

Not sure about your second sentence I never mentioned moderators, and yes I'll leave it there.

 

You should get the full series of "The Sopranos" in if your incapacitated for at least another month.

 

First episode of Celebrity Traitors was great, and there are a lot of genuinely very famous people in there which is often not the case with so called 'celebrity' programmes

 

Just finished binge watching Blue Lights Series 3. Still excellent.

The latest series of Alan Partridge is making me laugh.

 

It is so well-observed.

There was a line about a 'Kenny Badenoch ' that creased me up.

I won't mention the 'p' word, but I think he is brilliant at reflecting absurdities and paradoxes in modern-life.

Riot Women. Latest Sally Wainwright series. On iPlayer.
Won’t be for everyone on here, I’m sure, but I’m loving it. Great dialogue, brilliant acting from a stellar cast and emotionally intense.

Just watched the trailers, looks a good watch.

 

Steve Coogan is a genius! Anything with Partridge I love. He's been very clever in that he has evolved the character in his desperate and tragic attempts to stay relevant. Love that long suffering Lynn is still there. In his books he never once calls her by name - always 'my assistant'

 

Yes - got that spot on! Not caught it yet but Sally Wainwright is a brilliant writer and it looks like a strong cast, I will definitely be checking it out.

 

It’s excellent. The restaurant scene with Kitty & Beth in episode 3 is up there with the best bits of Happy Valley.
