A little like Smallwood during our run in last season you don't know just what they offer until their missing.

Forgot about that as you say Alexander can start him and give him some more game time.

Give over with the throw in and our second goal. Completely different phase of play… also, their manager is deluded if he really thinks their fans were as loud as ours!

Tired looking performance tonight. Sloppy, scrappy and everything we did was in slow motion. If Swan scores one of those chances, it's a different game and I think we win comfortably.

Take a point after being two down but we should've had all three with the chances we created even though we were so far from our best. Rotherham's defence was something out of a comedy show at times but then again Neill Byrne wasn't any better.

Maybe the two week break will help us.

Rotherham are decent at home, might prove to be a good point in the end

By the next game Barnsley Saturday 18th October at home with a bit of luck we could have Baldwin, Pennington, J Wright back in contention.
I believe Alexander said Tilt has his leg support taken off, so we may know more about when he will be available by the Barnsley game ?.

They make so many mistakes after the throw is taken .
Ball has travelled length of field and it’s ridiculous to even talk about the throw having an impact on our goal.

The break in the league is coming at exactly the right time the defence is disjointed we need CBs back so we can get Toure back at wing back and I’m sorry Byrne no where near the bench . Any point on the road is a good one especially when you’ve not been at your best and 2-0 down. Then back with a bang with the prospect of a cracker at home to Barnsley .

I think he's played himself into being that 3rd choice central midfielder before Leigh

I noticed Sky trying to push it as “controversial” but both lads in the studio weren’t having it

Happy to get a point out of that from where we were. Other thoughts:
Worried long term about the quality of our centre backs.
Bobby seems to be consistently anonymous away from VP.
Several players below par tonight, maybe a hectic recent schedule to blame.
    We really missed Power.
Glad to see Metcalfe play well after a very poor game at Stockport.
Realistically, we're not going to win every game and picking up away points is always good, especially given our great home form.
This break will do us a world of good.

    Decent point.

What I like about the last two matches, is that both struggling clubs have set out to disrupt us and whilst we ain't been at our best - we've battled to 4 points.

I've now more confidence of us been in the Top 8 than at any other time this season.

Yes. Power was a miss - but not quite as big when Smallwood missed matches, which is a small bonus.

Byrne was terrible - but in fairness it was, yet again, a brand new back three.

Both wing backs were largely anonymous. When Neufville finally created, we scored.

Positives were Mcintyre, Toure and Sarc. Special mention to Cook - great to see that he's fine at this level and his physicality could be vital.

Mcintyre looks very composed. Him, Penno and Baldwin for me until Tilt is fit.

Once again we saw Byrnes weakness, fortunately a couple of times he got away with his positioning, but yes when we have a full contingent of CD he wont be a starter IMO.

In fairness, we've had no consistency in selection, at the back, largely due to injuries - so it's no wonder they look a bit all over the place at times. Tilt would have just kicked a couple of their players in the air and they'd had run home scared.

I thought McKintyre and Toure were fine. Problem was that Byrne was poor and both Neufville and Wright had poor games defensively. Which in a 3-4-3, means you've not much chance of dominating.

If you put Pennington or Baldwin at LCB - then we're decent.

This in a nutshell. When we have rejig the midfield we just look vulnerable and loose in possession. Take a point all night long. We dug ourselves out. A nice break should get us fighting fit.
