Recommended New TV/Films

I've just got Disney+ just so I can watch Alien Earth. 3 episodes in and not quite was I was expecting but still well worth the watch

 

Not my thing but wife and lad are loving it.

 

Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount+ are worth a watch.

 

I’ve just started on season one.

 

Enjoy. It’s bloody brilliant.

 

Probably my favourite UK police series of all time.

 

Enjoyed Mayor of Kingstown apart from the last series which was a mess and I couldnt finish it

 

I was really looking forward to House of Guinness, but unfortunately I found it very boring and the 'Peaky Blinders' style of filming and soundtrack didnt suit it at all. I stopped watching after the 3rd episode.

 

I couldn’t even finish the first episode.

 

I think the pints of Guinness and Jameson chasers I was drinking got me through the first couple of episodes!

 

Is it as good as The Sweeney?

 

Or Dixon of Dock Green?

 

Episode 4 last night - brilliant!

 

The Sweeney was very good in its day, 70's, but not aged well at all. Thst said, I was never a fan of John Thaw

Definitely political but with reason, mods

 

Cannot get my head around why the mods have banned political threads in general chat. Politics is one of the biggest topics debated in this country and as long as people dont get abusive, dont see the problem?

 

Noticed there's not much traffic now on this forum, if it was relying on sponsorship it would be struggling....

 

And those who were active posters and also subscribed to the forum may not take up that option when their present subscription runs out, long live free speech.
