no one gives a toss where they are from. it's the complete shambles and road to ruin he's presided over people care about.

 

I honestly couldn't give a flying f**k what nationality they are. Seriously. As long as they have the clubs best interest at heart they could be any nationality in the world. The fact they're German never crosses my mind until i log onto C & B. Why isn't anyone banging on about the Scottish managers we have had or the French players we've had go through our system?

Unfortunatly the world of social media has moved on not for the better in some cases, but @Silverbantam comment IMO is not true Richmond got plenty of grief in those times.

Maybe, but it doesn't get away from the bottom line that we, as a club are on the slide. they have significantly dismantled many aspects of our club, maybe they think for the best, but clearly what we are seeing in evidence is not for the best. We seem miles away from where we were when they first took over. The atmosphere and general feeling at the club has took a significant nosedive, if this is the german model then no thanks. Maybe steered by different hands, the german model, whatever that is, would work. But do they really fill you with confidence that they are capable of navigating us through this and can bring it to fruition? More likely we will end up in league two than be anywhere near the championship, any time soon under their stewardship.

One of the Bantams Banter two made an intersting point on this. Edin is himself an accountant apparently, so is it possibly that he can't find anyone to meet his expectations? I don't know Edin, never met him, but if he's the micromanager people say he is then I can see this being his issue rather than anything untoward.

 

Hypothetically of course. An accountant will know how to account with due diligence. He’ll also know how to bend rules, manipulate the numbers and apply improper accounting practices. I suppose some individuals might apply such thinking to hide a revenue drop. Or to represent assets and liabilities in certain ways.

I’ll admit, it’s not my area of expertise, but the the financial bods in the company I work for have all manner of conversations about making numbers tell the story they want to, in an given quarter.

Another hypothetical of course. Suppose you go into business with someone, or people who provide financial investment but who’re largely silent partners. Maybe the active partner has a more hands on, operational role to play and makes ambitious commitments about revenue and dividend payments to the silent partners who’ve put substantial investment on the line. Suppose the anticipated revenue doesn’t come to bear, to the extent promised. Does the active partner have an honest and open conversation with his partners? Renege on dividend payments? Does he find a means of plugging that gap by taking money out of the business, or borrowing against it, to avoid embarrassment? Maybe in such circumstances, the numbers can be massaged to help accommodate whatever means are deemed necessary. Not necessarily illegal, but who’s to know what constitutes honesty and ethical accounting in such circumstances. It’d be a very grey area I’d imagine.

Short term I’d imagine you can fudge certain numbers.. Longer term, I’d imagine it comes out and the press get ahold of such matters. Where there’s an interest, of course. And perhaps even more so where alienated employees with contacts in the media have awareness of such matters.

All hypothetical of course and not really football related. Maybe I should’ve posted this in general chat.

Could be of course, but I start to have the admin jitters whenever the ppl mention unpaid bills etc., plus a high turnover of accountants. But your right just could be wants the job doing to his act standards.

Just asking. Out of curiosity. I don’t like the term ‘unpaid bills’.

With Edin himself an accountant and with his wife being a highly paid club secretary though, I’m sure that’s not something we’d have to worry about.

 

I know for a fact that the rumours listed in the article are true. The article mentions that Rahic chose the penalty takers and one of the Côws Arse sources knew this way back in Feburary. I'd get a few more up if i could find them.

I'm sure the Rahic apologists will tell us it's just a sheer coincidence...

True. Thinking aloud though, and as horrendous a thought as it is, maybe our longer term future needs it. I expect things to get worse before they can get better.

Maybe it needs something that drastic to force a change in ownership and for this fundamentally broken football club to start repairing itself again.
