I like their Fallout: New Grimsby advertising campaign.

Can't wait to enter this post-apocalyptic wasteland and... oh wait. That's actually just what it looks like over there.

 

My mum lives that way to be closer to family years back, not too far from where Jamie is pictured, unfortunately! Went over in April and took the dog on the beach, cold-ish morning and barely anybody on the beach. Just throwing a ball for him walking down the sand (if you can call it that) with the wife and some warden came up to me saying "dogs aren't allowed on this beach between until October, leave now or its an on the spot fine". So we made our way out and I asked why if the beach is quite? Who is it harming? He said dogs aren't allowed to run on the beach and ruin it.... I said this has been ruined long before we stepped foot here pal.... he just stared at me blank faced.

There are many nicer areas in England, cant imagine there are many worse, but the chippy on the pier just to the left of Jamie is pretty nice and fancy.

 

Got a bit of a soft spot for Grimsby as my family hails from the area (pre WWII). My Grandad used to go and watch them, and my second ever City game was against Grimsby in Feb 1987 (City won 4-2). My first game was at VP around March 1985 but I was too young to appreciate it.

 

Started on the bench on Saturday for Grimsby’s first game - came on after 77 minutes

 

Not in the squad V Man Utd tonight. Injured already?

Scored two absolute screamers for Grimsby today (writing this at half time).
