My fella’s birthday 18th October, same as Cookie. He has admired the new white training jacket. Might buy him one as a surprise £60.

We just need to stick around the top reaches of the league until January
Anything is then possible, especially if we have plenty of cash in the bank.

Before the Huddersfield game I was walking past the club shop around 11:15 we had security guy on the door and fans were queing back to the sliding doors into the main stand and only allowing one out one in, the club must be making good money from our start to this season, long may it continue.

He very rarely buys club merchandise but on occasion he spots something that he likes. The last training jacket he liked was when Parky used to wear a dark blue number, he bought one of them. He hasn’t started dribbling yet so it should be ok;)

On the back of the post about the white jacket. I too like it, but the one in the club shop doesn't have CITY on the back like the players one... otherwise i'd have bought one.

The navy blue zip up they have looks really smart too but £95 is a bit steep! I really like the logo they have on the training/leisure wear this season. I cant believe that when they were pitching a new badge they came up with that clip art nonsense when they could have pitched far simpler ideas like this one which people might have got on board with at least.

I saw some decent designs on Insta on for a concept badge. Might not be to everybodies taste!!

TBH I think our badge is outdated and needs modernising. I can understand why Sparks wanted to do it, but the designs presented wern't great. I still think it needs to be revisited at some point and while there is a feel good factor around the place.....:)

Seem to remember at the time Sparks did videos saying we needed a newer badge for easier marketing and other stuff around the logos use around the EFL? There was something daft like 15 versions of our logo in use for other clubs scoreboards, programmes etc. I did a look at the time and it's still the same now, but 8 of the 92 football clubs in the league currently haven't changed their badge since 1991. Forest, Liverpool, Blackburn & Watford have the same badge with slight tweaks in that period and then there's us, Charlton, Coventry and Newcastle who haven't changed it at all.

But Liverpool, Forest and Newcastle will use other badges on their shirts and merch like a retro one or a slight re-design, i think Forest have a shirt either this year or last year where the badge is just the tree logo with no wording. There's ways to bring in a rebranding without scrapping and starting again, but I agree it does need some modernising in the future. Even in the few years since the pitch they made, the advances in AI tools for artists have shot along, it could do a lot of the thinking part for them.

Both of those are good and much better than the ones the club tried to introduce last year.

I noticed when the players walked out in them the other day they are actually see through. You could see the playing kit underneath. For that reason I wouldn’t buy - thin/poor quality?

Will have a proper look then. Might not if that is the case. Noticed they had some navy blue ones, probably more practical.

The current badge is gash. And the fonts and stuff used were probably cutting edge at the time, but now look crap.

We definitely need to modernise, but it's hard as most football fans hate change. Plus you'll never please everybody.
